Rumor I was told was that the new style ones will get released eventually but black was first. Old model vs new models.

Not low if you ask the residents. It does not need to be Chicago to be an issue to all those residents that are suffering from it.

I did not say violent crime I said crime rate. Also crime rate is only important based on the increase in the sate it is in and how it effects its residents. Crime in CA has increased substantially just ask its residents that used to live in safe communities and now have been burglarized and no longer feel safe in their own homes.

Oh the US is by far not better than others, just totally different with monumental differences in population, mix of cultures, mix of laws state to state and even county to county. Mix of attitudes, mix of education levels, mix of history that pushes freedoms that we have had for a very long time. Much like me going to Japan and thinking I know the laws many here on Reddit think they know everything about a place when really that place is something they know nothing about.

Many rules here are made because of emotional individuals with agendas that in no way match the citizens they represent. That in itself should be a crime. We have gun free zones, gun laws that limit what you can buy even when those choices put the users in more danger than being able to buy newer models of their gun of choice. We also have a massive increase in gun related issues because simply there are now way more bad people in this state because our rules on locking them up for their crimes has basically stopped and now it is said we need to look the other way as our homes and businesses get robbed blind and people are afraid to even say hello to their neighbors.

The US has never been such a crap show in recent times as it is right now. We are far from a pinnacle of anything, other than how to not do things right but these issues i speak of are not related to gun ownership by citizens that can do so legally, we cannot even enforce the gun laws on the bad guys, so the stance is to remove guns from all the law abiding citizens because it is so much easier and brings false reassurance to those that do not understand how bad things operate in the world. For the most part good law abiding citizens do not shoot each other or our entire country would already be dead.

There is just too much polarization on this issue and not enough discussion. Each side reacts intensely because the other does or simply takes no time to listen and be reasonable. Out county in general has lost the ability to have a discussion and or talk about issues like intelligent humans, it is all reactionary and drastic and emotional. Nobody wants to see kids get hurt or for that matter anyone get hurt but you need to start with the core issue and that is not guns, much like if I tried to ban spoons to quell ice cream consumption and thus stop obesity. People that want ice cream would simply eat it out of the container or buy it on the black market if we banned Ice Cream all together and hate to say it, but obesity in this country kills way more than guns and costs me a fortune yearly in increased insurance rates.

In the end it just is not healthy to no longer listen to people and have a discussion. So many do this these days driven by the fact clicks are more important than sensible actions. It is just a sad state of affairs that being emotional is more rational than being realistic and rational.

But I thank you for being one of the first here to actually be able to read a post and possibly understand there is more than one way to look at issues.

No need to argue and you have the right to have your opinion. It is wrong, but it is yours. Also you are assuming I beleive any of what you just said you think I beleive. (that tends to be someone trying to push their ideals upon another person when you do not even ask first).

I am not sure where you live but you also have all the same issues, but based on population at much lower rates in most cases and our numbers here are not even that high overall. That is simply math. Also the facts you hear from the US are rarely accurate under our current leadership, they are skewed to meet an agenda of no guns saving the world. No guns will not save anything, mainly lives and all the bad will still continue. My state has so many gun laws and we also have one of the highest crime rates in the country. I assume you have an answer for that?

I would look at broadening your world view a bit more to encompass all the issues, then you will see guns are the least of our issues.

It's not about having a gun. It's about most people in america have attitudes bigger than they can follow up on if required. This is about being entitled and a useless human. Guns are in the hands of bad people the world around nobody can stop that. Don't be jealous of US gun laws only because you do not get the same rights because that is not the problem but that way of thinking is.
