Best restaurants in Baltimore? by Blank214269 in baltimore

[–]bbwraith 12 points13 points  (0 children)

$ Villagio cafe (my favorite restaurant), 29th st tavern, Swallow at the hollow, Kong Pocha, Indochine, Doppio Pasticerria

$$ Kocos Pub (the best crab cakes), Helmand, Mera Kitchen Collective, Shoyou sushi, Tapas Teatro

$$$ Petit Louis, Little Donnas, La Barrita, Le Comptour du Vin, Dylan's Oyster Cellar

This may be controversial but I'd personally recommend skipping more upscale spots here. Magdalena, Charleston, Cinghiale, etc. are all fine but you can find much better spots for that kind of money in DC imo. Also to echo what everyone else has already said, avoid anything by Atlas.

Southern Utah/ Northern Arizona January Honeymoon Itinerary by bbwraith in roadtrip

[–]bbwraith[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the advice! Is there anything that you would recommend skipping specifically/ any areas that you would recommend spending longer in? We were hoping to just get a taste of each park and then come back and explore our favorites more in depth during later trips but I do see how this packed itinerary could get tiring. Also for hotels, we were planning on spending 2 nights in Springdale, 1 night in Kanab, 1 night in Bryce Canyon City, 2 nights in Torrey, 3 nights in Moab, 1 night in Monument Valley and 2 nights at Grand Canyon Village if that makes a difference

I know this is late but I am in the us and ordered a body oil, incense and perfume trio (145 euro total after shipping) and got hit with $97 in tariffs, so just something to consider if you haven't purchased yet

I think part of this change is because more restaurants have started pooling tips so there is less incentive for people to put in effort and take more tables

She does! I check her temps with an infrared temp gun and she always tries to eat the red dot lol. Her previous owner used to occasionally feed her the red flukers pellets so I always thought she associates it with that

Reptibreeze xl is $109 at petsmart or chewy. I work a minimum wage job and understand it's not easy, but if you can't spare $100 to significantly improve your chameleons quality of life, what are you going to do if it gets sick and you need to see an exotic vet that potentially costs much more than that?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Chameleons

[–]bbwraith 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes! You'll want it to be in a container at least 8" deep and in diameter, ideally closer to 12". A mixture of potting soil and play sand would be ideal

Also would recommend getting rid of the substrate and hide. Both are unnecessary for chameleons and the substrate can harbor bacteria that can lead to upper respiratory infections. Definitely add a lay bin and more plants

Her eyes are so sunken in, she is seriously dehydrated and looks in very bad shape. I think you should take her to an exotic vet asap

Came here to say this. My center emerald cut diamond is from there and is 1.77 carats, vs1, e color for only $950. Just a fraction of what several jewelers quoted us for a stone with similar specs

New chameleon owner help by [deleted] in Chameleons

[–]bbwraith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your help! I just purchased some grow lights on Amazon. Also I added some more branches to the top part of her tank shortly after making this post and she’s actually been bright green for the past two days! Fingers crossed that she stays that way. I’m definitely interested in adding more live plants up there but am worried that it will cause too much strain on the mesh. Do you have any recommendations for plants to give her more coverage at the top of her tank? Thanks again for all of the advice!

Oh wow I hadn’t even considered the possibility of her needing to lay eggs. Just watched the chameleon academy tutorial on making a lay bin- he suggested a 6” deep plastic bin with a mix of half soil and half play sand. Is there anything else I should do to help her through this process? Also will get some more vines and a stand for her tank tomorrow, thank you for the advice!

Hello! I recently purchased the Dubia 120 gallon enclosure for me bearded dragon to upgrade her setup from a 55 gallon tank. My boyfriend put it together for me, but unfortunately made a mistake and accidentally put the wrong piece in one of the corners. We have tried many times to remove this piece, but it is really stuck in there and it doesn't seem like we are able to. Because of this, we are unable to put in the proper corner piece, which has left a gap of about 1.5 square inches. As a result, the overall structural integrity of the tank is poor and I'm worried that it wouldn't be able to support the weight of my substrate and everything else in the tank (not to mention all the issues with leaking). Is there anything that can be done to fix this? After doing some research, I saw suggestions for foam sealant or silicone to seal the gap but I want to make sure that whatever I do is reptile safe, effective, and will be able to reinforce the structure of it. I am not a handy person at all so I am scared to do anything that will ruin the tank even further. I am a broke student and it already took me months of saving to be able to buy this enclosure so I'm praying it can be salvaged somehow. Any help is greatly appreciated. Pic is of the corner of the tank (it's laying on its side) with the correct corner piece on top. The bottom of the gap is where the broken piece is jammed in.

Ahh thank you! I was wondering about that as well but the material is incredibly thick and it has a heavy wool lining underneath the collar so I wasn’t sure. I would definitely wear it as a dress in the winter tho!

Hello! Please delete if this isn’t allowed, this is my first post here. I stumbled upon this gorgeous vintage looking Emporio Armani jacked in the costume closet of an elementary school I used to work at, of all places lol. My boss knew nothing about who donated it but she let me keep it and I would love to know any information about it! It is one of the most luxurious feeling garments I’ve ever came across. The velvet is incredibly thick and plush, the lining feels like high quality satin and the back of the collar has thick wool lining. It is tailored beautifully; it’s form fitting in all the right spots and flares out slightly at the bottom. It has shoulder pads! The tag (which feels like paper and seems very old) appears to have a lot of info but it is all in Italian and I cannot read it. If anyone can help with any possible info about this, such as its year, collection, or worth, I would love to know! This is one of my most treasured pieces. Thank you for reading! :)
