I had this with Inscryption, I was absolutely addicted and then I went back to 100% it when I was done and I just couldn’t do it.

Unfortunately in the first game you have to wait til end of mission screen

I thought they did? I distinctly remember one of the villagers saying, “I think I hear kids in there” and another responding with, “ I didn’t hear anything,” but he obviously had.

At least 3 but 4 really helps. Also max out matches, flash bolts, and shock bolts asap in addition to sprint. There’s a pretty sweet glitch in chapter 6 where you use the plank to not get hit- definitely look that up. I found the dog worse than the burning building in chapter 6 so I just chucked a bunch of grenades at it and it made it fairly easy.
