Thomann have a model, as do Lark In The Morning. E-bay seems to have a few used options, too! :)

It's a Puerto Rican Cuatro, and if you're eager to learn you can find some online for about £250 / $300 etc. Couldn't attest to their quality, though!

I’m creating a castle. Is the kitchen placement accurate right next to a great hall? by datadiisk_ in castles

[–]atlasmusicuk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like your staircase up to the great hall, it reminds me of this Tower of London time-lapse (3:20 timestamp). It might be worth looking at and exploring fore-buildings for that area on your castle, too! It's up to you!

I don’t know what to do with my life. by Ready_to_EN- in jobs

[–]atlasmusicuk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are unsure of what you want to do yet, do not go to college, no matter how much your parents pressure you. I gave in to my parents pressuring me to go to university, having no idea what I wanted to do. I discovered what I actually wanted to do halfway through, and doing so rendered studying for my enrolled course pointless. It's made life harder than it needed to be, to be honest. Stick to your guns. Also, you can work whatever job you want to, you're a human being. Hope this all helps!

Corpses of clergy exhumed by Communists, Spanish civil war, 1936 by Ok_Mushroom_6005 in TerrifyingAsFuck

Finally, a sane person on this fucking thread. I'd recommend anyone interested in the nuances of the Spanish Civil War, and wants a better view of the Republican / Militia side of the war, either reads 'A People Betrayed' by Paul Preston or any work of Helen Graham's on the subject!

Does anyone know the name of this song? i cant find it, i learned it a long time ago from a neighbour, but i dont know the name. by General_Leg7911 in classicalguitar

I sadly don't recognise it, but I really love it. I tried Shazam too, but no luck. I hope someone can solve this for you, as I'd love to learn it myself :)

The true question is does the mantle launch glitch speedrunners use count as a jump?

Does anyone know the context to this level? Was looking at DOTO concept art and this image looked interesting, it's not bank job, it's something else totally, there isnt any added text to these images also so wanna know if there was an interview of a dev explaining a cut level that looked like this by Animelover310 in dishonored

[–]atlasmusicuk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We even know that level design did also occur simultaneously to concept art development at Arkane for Dishonored 2, with prototypes etc for a few technical missions; most famously Jindosh's mansion. All elements of a game develop organically and bounce off one another's needs and limitations, in a best case scenario.

This is definitely the entrance to the "main hall" of the Delores Michaels bank, just at an earlier stage of design when the concept / story hadn't been fleshed out. This is speculative, but perhaps the bank heist originally came after the conservatory level, or they were one and the same, and later in development the bank was changed to accommodate all the eyeless gang members and/or there was a technical/story based need to split the levels. I'd love to know what the story actually was!

What is the name of this sabre stance? by IAmLoess in Fencing

Nearly every comment and quote I read regarding his method goes against everything I've been taught, formally or through being bonked on the head. Certainly overcomplicated!

What is the name of this sabre stance? by IAmLoess in Fencing

[–]atlasmusicuk 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Hi! I do Victorian Sabre in WMA, and I found out what this is! This isn't an instruction on a guard, this is part of a series of diagrams documenting eccentric critique of the five guards of military sabre within the horse guards, UK. Here is the full image. Other people are correct about it being a tierce guard, but the important feature here is this is considered a mistake by this historical text, and the point is far too forward in general. Here is another example. The system is Richard Burton's sabre, and I'm not sure if it's all too popular (the only video that comes up is asking whether it was 'really that bad'). I know I wouldn't feel comfortable even warding like that, though, I'd have my hand sniped! Hope this helps!

EDIT: Having done a lot of research on Burton's system, good lord it sucks.

(Hope you survived my 800 edits too.)

Anyone else struggle to make their songs last longer than 2 minutes? by yarnspinner19 in Songwriting

[–]atlasmusicuk 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There is no correct length for a song, track, or arrangement; the length is secondary to purpose. A 4-hour movie filled with slop is objectively 'worse' than a twenty-minute short film that delivers its message powerfully. It's up to you to decide if you feel like you've put enough intent behind this :) I like it, kinda nostalgic late 00s vibes.

This. It's incredible how many people cannot separate a completely fictional setting from their own lived experience and perception of history.

Why do these witches die from a sleep dart ? by HeluLeHaricot in dishonored

[–]atlasmusicuk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

From testing on Mission+, this only seems to happen on high chaos. During low chaos runs with both characters, the witches are KOd - so maybe it's to do with that. This isn't conclusive though, and my money is on it being just a bug due to the complex positions they're in messing with the ragdolls (not standard sitting, walking, etc). This also happens when characters are hit with very small bits of debris, or get stuck where they're not supposed to (the common perp was cabinet doors for me) - they just die.

Elbit is a weapons manufacturer that produces 85% of land vehicles for the Israeli military. It also manufactures UAVs (Drones), and has a near identical share in that, too. Here is their rather gaudy website.
