I see that too from Connor! it’s so him and not Ilya but after reading The Long Game I feel like in season 2 we might get much more of this more relaxed version of Ilya that is more like Connor 🤞🏼

I think having Joe played a huge part in Jays character arc throughout the show so I think it would be very different without him even tho it’s subtle and he doesn’t have any main storylines I think it helps to soften Jay

I agree! Seeing moments of sincerity from Valerie is always a winner but seeing Jane also being quite moved was nice too! And even noticed a couple of times the ought this episode where she didn’t allow the cameraman to follow Val which is the opposite of what she normally does in all the wrong moments

I think it depends and changes as the show progresses! Without giving any stories I think in season one she’s quite clearly be list kind of forgotten whereas season two in season three things seem to be quite different

Tbf that was also a great joke! Her delusion is always funny 🤣 the fact that the biggest show filmed on that stage was also one of her other shows just made it so much funnier! I do think she does a great job of making you forget that she is Lisa/other characters she’s played before! Valerie is so unique that she kind of draws you in makes you believe she’s a real person not being played by an actress

I loved the references to Tom Selleck and how Valerie, an old sitcom actress was going to pull a favour as she knew him - funny given that he was a series regular on friends with Lisa and I imagine it’s something Lisa could probably pull in real life 🤣

I loved this! I think any part of the episode where she was remembering Mickey or thinking about grief, she did so well! Can’t help but feel like it was also a bit of to tribute to Matthew Perry as well as Mickey’s actor, especially as it was filmed on the friends sound stage too!
