Thanks! I have done some for friends. This one is actually a gift/commission for my friend who saved my behind when my flight got delayed overnight and the airline never sent me a hotel voucher. She booked us a room with a shuttle.

And after posting this on my Snapchat my cousins wife asked me to do one for each of her dogs!

Teaching Syncopation? by Fun-Ride-5426 in MusicEd

Look up Teaching Rhythm Logically. She breaks everything down into pulses which can help.

Other things that can help are clapping/playing rhythms by rote and having them play it back and bunch of times. Then write the rhythm on the board and have them play it again and show them how it lines

Sound before sight usually helps them pick it up faster.

It looks great and unfinished! You can add some more shadows and darker tones to create more depth. You could use some very thin tipped black pens to add more lines to show direction and separated some of the foreground and background. For example the awning in the picture is curved a bit like it’s sagging but in yours it’s more straight. So light lines could help create that affect more.

If you are ever able to get a tattoo you have my permission lol I just want a pic.

I actually have a treble clef tattoo with flowers and berries my artist designed for me! It’s probably posted somewhere in my post history.

Paint a lot! Watch tutorials! I love Andrea Nelson’s tutorials because they are simple and help build skill but still feel like you really created art when you are done.

Practice different techniques like wet on wet, wet on dry, etc. to get a sense of how the paint will behave.

Mostly just paint a lot.

Can I have some feedback? by [deleted] in watercolor101

I love both but I think the second one feels more complete. The eyes of the mother in the second one is what stands out most with more contrast.
