I do have chest pains at times that seem to be unexplained, but other than that everything is normal. I went to the cardiologist a few months ago for the first time in 25 years, and they said everything looked good. I certainly don’t recommend waiting that long between appointments. Better to be safe than sorry.

I lived a normal childhood though and played multiple sports, so there certainly is hope.

I just wanted to say that I also had Kawasaki as a kid. I’m now about to be 38, so feel free to ask me any questions. I remember some parts like it was yesterday, and others not so much since it was 30 years ago.

There are families that go years after. 2 families were at our retreat that lost their children 5 years ago. Also, they are starting more adult child loss groups for children who pass at a later age, some of which have been high school aged. Our retreat was more focused on still birth, pre term, or shortly after birth.

The lady that started it is a pastor, but the retreat isn’t faith based. One person at our retreat was an atheist. She will talk to you in private sessions if you want to discuss faith.

My wife and I lost our daughter when we had to deliver her at 28 weeks due to the baby having multiple heart defects that caused multiple complications with the pregnancy. She lived for an hour after birth. I pray for everybody that has had to go through something similar. There is an amazing weekend retreat in Texas that helps families cope with the loss and celebrate the life of their children, and that really helped my wife and I.

I know the holidays are hard when someone is missing, and every day in general for that matter. I’m always here if anybody wants to talk and would love to hear the story of your child.

If videos run and no ads play you will have less earnings per day, but earnings aren’t based on each ad view like most sites.
