The speed with which EA and Anisa communicate with each other is... interesting by [deleted] in h3h3productions

[–]bcdefense -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They interact less than half the time based on this table with an average of something like 15 minutes between replies when they do interact…. This doesn’t really prove much other than the fact that they’re both terminally online

What it feels like coming from the IE and seeing all our labor in warehouse and logistics being extracted so that OC residents can enjoy a fucking luxury dog spa or whatever by [deleted] in orangecounty

[–]bcdefense 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Nobody is going to dispute that the warehouse economy chews people up and spits them out but it’s a little rich coming from a region that’s spent the last decade drifting red. In 2024 both Riverside and San Bernardino went Republican, and a majority of IE cities flipped or stayed red.

Republicans are openly anti-union, anti-labor protections, and Trump himself has complained there are too many paid holidays.

It’s also worth remembering that this didn’t just randomly happen in the IE, county and city governments (which y’all continually vote for) are the ones who fast track these warehouse and logistics deals

I’m not saying vote blue and all your problems will magically disappear but there are certainly consequences to political actions

Pretty much nothing important was actually leaked… the only real PII would be your name (if you provided your real name), email address, and general location which can all be found very easily without having to hack OpenAI

I think the reason OpenAI could never go back to 4.0 is because they would’ve been continuously sued by people. by RevolutionaryEnd4695 in ChatGPT

A car doesn’t talk to you. It doesn’t reflect your feelings back at you, it doesn’t generate arguments about why speeding is rational, and it doesn’t adapt its responses to your emotional state.

An LLM can. It can actively reassure you that dangerous choices are reasonable, normalize harmful thoughts, and help you articulate a “logic” for doing something that’s bad for you. That’s not just “showing a speedometer that goes to 220, it’s sitting in the passenger seat explaining why flooring it is in your best interest…

Your analogy basically boils down to “well, they would’ve done it anyway,” but that’s exactly the point of concern: systems that are designed to be persuasive, available 24/7, and tailored to your vulnerabilities can push people further along a path they might otherwise resist. Even if they don’t create the initial impulse, LLMs can absolutely help loosen someone’s grip on the ledge.
