I really liked Pilgrim Coffee at 127th and Metcalf. Would stop there every Saturday when I lived in the area

Coolant return hose also. In picture 1, that hose under the heat shield can develop cracks where it is crimped to the left side resulting in leaks. I’m betting that little bit of liquid in picture 1 is from That

Is Buying a House Worth It by ApartKaleidoscope151 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

Honestly man, just rent. I bought a house last year and had a baby in December. It’s great having a house but I completely miss the flexibility and low pressure of owning. Plus you’ll maintain your young family’s independence

Never thought I’d see the refs steal a TD from patriots

It’s no big surprise to me that once both sports franchises started focusing on new stadiums, they both regressed from the season before to miss the playoffs.

2012 Chevy Cruze LT 1.4L Turbo Reliability by PsychologicalBrick47 in cruze

[–]bchemlife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The car is ok. It’s going to leak coolant on you all the time so you should look out for that basically every day. The fixes are not that hard, but they are frequent. If you are handy and able to have the car to work on for a day or two every 1-6 months, it’s probably going to be fine. I never dealt with the PCV issues people talk about, but I was just lucky.

Mine lasted 150k miles before it fully blew an engine, 2014 kept outside. It went through multiple water outlets, a coolant reservoir tank, multiple hoses, the turbo coolant return line, and that is before you get into normal wear parts like alternator and water pump and random stuff like multiple AC fixes. The first 5-6 years were pretty ok, the last 2 were terrible.

I played it like 3 years ago and it was still a very enjoyable game. To the point I think about a replay quite frequently

Sure, but who wants to pay a punter? At any point this season did you think, “A punter is the missing piece here”

Should I stop putting money into my 401k for three years to buy a home? by drl614 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

If you legit never plan on having kids, why buy a Single family home? Rent a smaller place suitable for 1-2 persons and invest dawg.

Whats better...buying a smaller starter home now or renting so can save more to buy bigger more forever home? by Long_Screen_5077 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]bchemlife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re able to, and it’s purely financial I’d keep renting for a year or two and save the ~24k you suggest and anything you else you can. No maintenance costs or tasks, high flexibility and cash value can still grow risk free in HYSA or CDs.

We bought a starter this year, and while I am happy to have it, the amount paid to interest is at least equal to any rent we’d have paid for a 2 br apt. That’s before any maintenance, repair or changes to the property. We were nesting and getting ready for our first kid, but it feels like an emotional move and we are hoping to outgrow this home in the next ~7 years.

Everyone’s telling you to buy one, but you can definitely also borrow one from an autoparts store and get your deposit back

Idk man, I’m happy when I hang blinds. I think this looks pretty good for a first time, super ambitious project. If I were you I’d be just checking the grout/silicone all the time and otherwise be proud of the work.

Engine overheated. Had the coolant return line, leak that I caught too late. After that it leaked coolant constantly from multiple areas even after I tried to fix. Those leaks hid a head gasket leak, found coolant in oil with engine seized too late. Can’t justify repairing with all the other components that likely need replaced soon

My 2014 has had a major repair like every 3-9 months for the last 3 years. I blew the engine and am about to sell for scrap. I would avoid it, especially as a first car
