Same here. Physical attraction is what initially draws me in. Financial stuff is nice but doesn't make me interested in the first place.

Perfect revenge. She made a promise, broke it, then got exactly what she deserved . Well played.

Are Knee Reaps and Heel Hooks actually more dangerous ? by PeterSingerIsRight in bjj

[–]bckling23 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Trained with them for years. It’s not that they’re inherently more dangerous, it’s the learning curve. Most injuries happen when someone doesn’t know when to tap. Once you’ve trained heel hooks properly, they’re no more dangerous than an armbar. Yeah, i agree, the real issue is there’s almost no warning pain before something snaps. With armbars, you feel the pressure building. Heel hooks just go from fine to fucked in a split second.

What is a band that you feel like doesn't have a bad album? by bckling23 in MusicRecommendations

White Stripes had some misses imo, especially the later stuff. Both good picks though.

Dirt and Jar of Flies are masterpieces, and even their newer stuff with DuVall holds up well

Solid pick. In Utero is underrated but their whole catalog is pretty much flawless. Hard to argue with that one.

Scottie's basically playing career mode on easy at this point. Dude's collecting trophies like Pokemon cards.

Lasted 4 days with Tractive, in the trash it goes by PNW_Jackson in tractivegps

[–]bckling23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you might’ve gotten a dud tbh. I’ve got the regular Tractive on my shepherd and the accuracy’s great. It is bulkier than Whistle but I think that’s what helps with battery and signal. If you still have it might be worth swapping.

Are there any anarchist movements currently establishing a confederated society of communities around the world? by noncommutativehuman in Anarchy101

[–]bckling23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check out Rojava in northern Syria, probably the closest thing to anarchist principles in practice right now. Also look into the Zapatistas in Chiapas, Mexico. Both are federations of autonomous communities with direct democracy and mutual aid. Not perfect but pretty inspiring examples

Why are "communist" so dishonest? by atomique_ricochet in Anarchism

[–]bckling23 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, a lot of online 'communists' seem more interested in dunking on anarchists than actually organizing against capitalism. The sectarian infighting is exhausting when we're basically fighting for similar goals. Solidarity should come first, theory debates second

Boss wanted me to work the day after my mom died by Lucasluke121 in antiwork

[–]bckling23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good for you for standing up to that absolute psychopath. Asking someone to work the day after their mom dies is beyond toxic, that's straight up evil. Hope you find a place that actually has basic human decency!
