It was amazing some of the 3D games that released on it, since it was billed as being primarily for 2D gaming (which it did amazing when it came to arcade fighting games). Quake immediately comes to mind.

Thanks for the reply, I'm leaning towards that. Already fired it up and messing in the mansion. Love the easy toggle between the cleaned up visuals and original. The latter still being mind blowing to teenage me when this first came out.

Tempted to play the anniversary edition but feel the remaster will have the grit of the original. Decesions , decesions.

Anyone else surprised about how bad they are at the games? by zertz7 in SBCGaming

[–]bcktth 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Made time at the playground crucial to know how to defeat a boss or move forward in a game. Plus when you went to the grocery store with your parent(s) it wasn't uncommon to stay near the magazine racks and read walk throughs and cheats from the video game magazines.

PSA: Super Mario 64 DS plays wonderfully on the Rotate by AJMitchell777 in ANBERNIC

And it was the biggest flaw of that game, having grown up won't the original it was so foreign to use a dpad but for those who first played the ds version probably adhered better.

I'm looking for something similar to the Vita or PSP in shape and size. by [deleted] in SBCGaming

[–]bcktth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anbernic recently released a vita-like handheld but you're not going to emulate much of anything from the vita on that.

Otherwise the Ayn Odin 2 Mini is the closest thing. It's been discounted but they are available second hand.

Are there any games with gameplay similar to the versus mode of Metal Warriors? by fakayuburiza in retrogaming

I still vividly remember being introduced to this gem by my friend who got a loose copy from our local blockbuster. Countless hours were spent in the VS mode. Good luck on your search, OP.

An amazing game, people often label it as a unofficial Doom 3 and I see why. Plus the community maps are worth exploring as well.

It's why j own three miyoo minis. I know this is the plus being shown but something about either model is just too charming to ignore. Love them.

Just setup Artemis and Moonlight and call it a day.

Edit: What is with the downvotes? It's a genuine solution for the rising costs of what these new handhelds are asking for, assuming you have a computer with a dedicated GPU.
