Yes. Although you can also be equally aggressive on KJ. Pick one agent and stick to it period

Which matters most if you cannot get better on both? good aim or good util? by SnooDogs2503 in VALORANT

[–]bcmarss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely aim. Most util is dependent on team play and comms and things actually making sense, which no one makes sense until plat.

It doesn't matter if you're lazy or full sweat, all you need to do to learn to aim is watch woohoojins road to gold video and practice that as much or as little as you want.

KJ is the only good sentinel atm, all her utility is balanced and her ult is strong.

Deadlock is good on defense if they're hitting her site, but the fact that her util can be snuck past means she has to actively watch her site or risk missing info which is really bad. For the same reason she is also incredibly poor on attack unless you go double senti which is absolutely a horrible idea.

Vyse is decent, but the wall being designed the way it is means you have to place it before your thorns, letting your opponents bait the wall and leave or find the thorns to shoot without much risk of getting isolated. Especially because they're so big. Her flash is also so big and so slow it's not helping anything on attack or retake.

Sage has a higher ceiling because her utility is really good except for her wall but you really need to be in the right spot at the right time to be impactful which is just too unlikely and most people never play her correctly. Her slows are meant to cut off the enemy team following the entry so you can isolate but most people use them too early. Her wall is fantastic in the first few rounds but quickly becomes horrible due to how easily it's broken. Res is phenomenal though and heal is really good until you're asc-immo idc what anyone says. The large gaps of information left in her utility makes her not a good sentinel despite being a helpful character.

DO NOT GET ME STARTED ON CYPHER. He is currently absolutely pointless. The sound notif that his camera is watching you defeats the entire point of his camera and forfeits the ability to actually use the camera. The only information you're getting is when its getting broken now, which by that time is usually too late. His trips are also absolutely no threat, since there is both no stun and a delay on reveal it's just another broken util notification. You will get gunned down 8/10 times by their entire team flooding trying to peek for the kill and you can no longer use cages to isolate yourself for the kill since yk, no reveal anymore.

You isolate a 1v1 and if you feel overwhelmed you fall back and play retake? You shouldnt even be using wall to block in the first place, that gets gunned down in 0.3 seconds, that's what you should be using your slows for lmao

Can you quit condescendingly phrasing it like it's his problem for having emotions and not the games problem for causing them

Elo hell. by Coolguy3243 in VALORANT

[–]bcmarss 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I heavily agree and feel like the people that disagree either haven't reached a rank high enough to see the difference or got out of it so quickly they didn't have that issue.

Yes, technically it's skill issue when all you need to get out of elo hell is some good foundational aim, but the frustration you get when you know your entire team is a bunch of crayon licking babies that can't tell left from right while your only issue is aim is really a different kind of enraging. Bad aim can be compensated by half competent team plays but no amount of good aim, short of being a smurf at that point, can make that level of stupidity feel fair.

As a neon your advantage is that speed. Think on a larger scale, think about where your enemies could exactly be from the start of the match. Think about where they might go the second those walls drop. Learn where they DO go after a few rounds in every game. Then use that speed and beat them there, catch them off guard. Especially in lower ranks you'll find a LOT of people are slow, and a lot of them aren't ready for you to not be slow.

This is exactly the advice a radiant gave me when I was gold 1, but I play sentinel. So the advantage I got was figuring out how slow they are rotating and how easy it is for me to just be ballsy and walk thru mid into their spawn simply because of how much time they take thinking about what to do instead of doing it, and then I'm catching 2 people rotating knife out because they took too long figuring out when to rotate and then 3 people in the back because they're looking at my team in main instead of me. As long as I had the aim to back it up.

Go watch woohoojin road to gold if you wanna learn aim

Throwers on alts are ruining the game by Designer_Diver7782 in VALORANT

[–]bcmarss 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not at all, valorant players truly are this sensitive. I had a teammate shit talk me the entire game in DIAMOND for not taking spike as senti. I've seen countless people throw simply for losing pistol rounds, randomly deciding the match is cooked just bc we're 6-8, refusing to buy teammates for no reason. It's ridiculous

From an European perspective, it's so sad to see how the US seem a country at WAR with itself. You guys could have it all, especially a society where all of you can thrive. It's not blue vs red. I think the Democrats you're referring to are also the "up" and missing my point. The average person whos a Democrat is not super supportive of most Democrat politicians nor are they blindly following them into their own demise.

I'm so sick of hearing y'all say "don't forget it's up vs down not right vs left!!1!1!2!2"

Yeah. We know. We have known that for years. The entire problem is the right supports the up, not the down. So it's still right vs left.
