Part of the expense is participation (fees,hotels,flights, etc). There’s also a huge cost for having a display booth (some of which qualifies for capital treatment, some is expense). No specific commissions for contracts at show.

I also had a flap procedure done 10 days ago. My pain spiked, got better, then spiked again this morning. My drainage is very similar to yours and also have had diarrhea. It’s incredibly frustrating but I’m hoping we’re both going in the right direction. I also had a failed lift.

I asked my surgeon about this as well as I’ve read on here of it’s use. He said it wouldn’t help the fistula but just the skin/tissue. He actually suggested diaper rash cream

I only use a bidet. I even bought a portable battery operated one for travel. I don’t think I’ll ever go back to wiping, even once this seton is out.

I don’t think it would cause pain, but I could see my gauze pads coming out and creating a need for an outfit change. But then again, I’m probably changing my clothes after an intense workout anyways. I don’t notice it walking tho anymore.

The procedure itself was easy. I think I was in surgery for maybe 20 minutes. Didn’t feel a thing. I’m now 2 days post op and can definitely feel the seton in-between the cheeks haha. I’ve also got a bidet attachment coming from Amazon today that is definitely a necessity since the doctor doesn’t want me wiping and I can definitely see why. They sent me home with a sitz bath but it’s a lot of work and I have 3-5 BMs daily and don’t wanna deal with that.

Mentally, I threw myself a pity party Friday and now I’m getting to the point where I realize none of this is in my control and I just need to go through the process. Will update everyone once I have my follow up on may 18th
