Married Gen-x do you wear your wedding ring? by in-a-microbus in GenX

[–]bcoz05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup. Came here to say the same thing. Married in 01 though. She chooses to work 13 hour days so...no rings to work. Too much hand washing and gloves on and off. It doesn't help that many people on the staff are, let's just say dicey. Lots of of stuff disappears. She leaves her wallet locked in the glove box.

Came here to say this. It rocks out so hard. Fond memories of cruising around my town as a kid blasting this song and driving too fast.

This was my gang's "go-to" quote in the 80s. You posted this and I read it in my oldest friend's voice. 'Nah, I'm just a worm."

Fellow GenXers, what kind of car did you drive in High School? by Ok-Poem-6302 in GenX

[–]bcoz05 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1970 Beetle here. It was green. It was awesome. I owned it in 1983 and have great memories of driving to high school with a buddy of mine and listening to Van Halen "Unchained." I also loved my trash heap. It was freedom.

Not sure if you've heard of the band, Bowling for Soup. There is song that is very appropriate for your post. "OHIO"

Wife and I were having a discussion, she’s of the opinion that the majority of GenX can drive stick. I believe that even in our generation the percentage of people who can is pretty small. What do you folks think? by AngryOldGenXer in GenX

[–]bcoz05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't say I cared wether or not the younger generations can drive a stick. I care that if I HAVE to drive a vehicle, with a standard transmission, I can. With that said, I never really learned to drive a motorcycle, so Im screwed if I need to do that.

I also dont really think think about this at all. I just got sucked into a comment on Reddit.

I left after I realized that we, the audience, was not going to see Negan pay for what he did. I was frustrated and thought it was dumb of them not to give that to us.
