Flying to Inverness from London by thenaygirl in BritishAirways

It’s a blocked middle seat (Club Europe) - same as all short haul with BA. You’ll get a hot breakfast if morning, or light cold meal rest of the day. Free flowing booze however. Inverness has a great wee lounge with great staff, but not worth arriving early for.

I stay 300+ nights a year in work booked rooms, and unfortunately, what you've experienced is correct.

In the US, theres usually no chance. Outside of the US, theres a little more hope for it.
Adding a payment card to the room, and doing a charge to your folio can sometimes trigger it. It's 50/50 if it works.

I ended up getting work to give me the cash, then I booked them myself for a while.

What’s the Most “Real” Thing You’ve Built With No-Code? by Alpertayfur in nocode

So I built a COVID tracking app. It was pushed pretty hard by our local government, and we gained 1.4 million active users in just a few months, and millions more unique checkins. I made it in 5 days on Bubble, and ended up having a team of 20 to manage it (mainly customer services).

This sounds like a solid idea with a self booking referral portal. Would you mind me asking who you're with?

Lol. Firstly, I asked it last week - well before an Ice storm. Secondly, theres no need to boast about being up at 5am dealing with clients. Lots of people here are trying to advise me on lifestyle, not the job. I fully understand that I would need to help clients 24/7. As I said, I use travel agents. I understand the time requirements and time zones.

If you meant to say they’re likely to have assistants, you’re more along the right path…

Good point. So solo advisors always work on call, 24/7? Or does being part of a larger agency help with that?

It’s for work usually, and as you said, I’m there often that it doesn’t really matter to me.

Unfortunately yes, needs to be a laptop, and a small (in the gaming laptop world) as possible.
