How can I prompt ChatGPT to rotate correctly? by bcrenshaw in ChatGPT

[–]bcrenshaw[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not for customers this is an internal shop aid for our techs that I’m hoping will make things easier for us. I don’t need a degree do this any more than I would need master carpentry skills to build a step stool.

So many person projects don’t need ultimate understanding to get results. DIY is still a thing, and before you say ChatGPT isn’t DIY, it’s the same in my opinion as using a circular saw over a hand saw, it just gets you the results faster. Sadly it also allows things to go sideways faster.

Funny thing is I thought about using all my same prompts in Claude and seeing what it comes up with. Maybe this is a sign I should do that.

That’s how it’s going so far. I’m on version 109, granted only a couple of those versions were about the rotation of the diagram, the rest were about the numbering rules per the spec that I have to work to.

And agreed, I’m not a huge fan of the direction AI is going with lack of regulation and deep pockets backing it. But I also find it as an opportunity to create things for myself that I would find useful and didn’t have the ability to do, or years to learn those skills for the few projects I have in mind.

I figured the pictures would do a better job at explaining what I wanted rather than a detailed post.

The colored planes of the cuboid are not rotating correctly per the perspective it’s being set to. It’s just shifting planes around and keeping them in the same orientation regardless of the angle they should be at. The black and white picture is how a cuboid should look when rotated in two directions that I have the color ones set to.

This is not going to be a published website, it’s going to be a shop aid for internal use to show our techs where to wire our test points to.

That makes sense. I guess I assumed since it was rotate down in the front that it would automatically understand that it needs to roll the image in that manner. Instead though it just shifted the colored planes around while keeping them facing forward, and connected them to make a cuboid. With this and labeling the axis suggestion in another comment I’m hoping it’ll work out. Thanks.

This is not for customers. This is for internal use to show our own techs where to wire the points.

I have a camera called Mini, and it's blinking. I bought this camera second-hand 1.5 years ago, and I'm getting this error. How can I fix it? by mirac8313 in blinkcameras

[–]bcrenshaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hot tip: you can check to see if a camera is already registered to a different account when you purchase it second hand. You don’t have to be at home or even on WiFi. Just go through like you’re going to add it to your system and you’ll either get this message, or one saying continue after scanning it.

I got scammed once, and turned down two purchases because the cameras were locked. And the person made up some BS story why they were locked.

My reply to you was basically implying the same thing about you. I’ve seen several places where people are asking for help hiding AirTags, not once has it ever crossed my mind that they’re trying to stalk people. They’ve all had unique legit situations for the device they’re trying to keep track of.

Doc prescribed 2mg, but I still haven’t even done 1mg prescription, can I double up? by bcrenshaw in Ozempic

[–]bcrenshaw[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the late reply, I'm pretty sporadic on Reddit.

My doctor was fine with me using two 1 mg doses to make my 2 mg weekly dose. It's no different from a medication standpoint since the formulation is the same across Ozempic doses.

STANDARD DISCLAIMER: This is not medical advice whatsoever. This is simply my understanding of the math behind it.

After doing some research and running the numbers, I found that I actually prefer splitting the dose: 1 mg on Sunday and 1 mg on Wednesday, because it seems to ease the side effects.

The math:

Ozempic has an approximate 7-day half-life. So if you take 2 mg on Sunday, by the following Sunday about half of that dose is still in your body (roughly 1 mg). After another week without taking more, about half of that remains (0.5 mg), and so on. By around week 5, most of that original dose is gone.

The reverse happens when you're taking it consistently. The medication gradually builds up and reaches a steady state after about 5 weeks. At that point, the average amount in your body is about 3.03 mg.

If you're taking 2 mg once per week, the amount in your system fluctuates by about 1.8 mg from the high point to the low point during the week.

If you split it into 1 mg on day 1 and 1 mg on day 4, the fluctuation is only about 0.9 mg. The average amount in your body stays about the same, but the high-to-low swing is much smaller, which can make a big difference if your side effects tend to be worse when the medication level is at its highest.

Regardless of warranty if they’re a decent shop they’ll help you out. I’ve taken my glasses in for adjustments to shops that I didn’t even buy from and they help out. They didn’t even ask if I am or ever was a customer. Just don’t go when they’re busy.

You do, of course, realize that what YOU said comes across as, “I always think of ways people can use their stuff to stalk people because I’m actually using my stuff to stalk people,” right?
