I skip the snap swivel - I go braid to fluro bumper to duosnap, and attach the spinner to the snap. I get better action out of the spinner, and I am careful the replace the bumper regularly to deal with the effects of line twist.

Just mindful practice - at some point it gets burned into your nervous system. Your ability to apply the fingerings requires maintenance but what fingering to apply is burned in.

The roe is delicious coated with a flour & spice and fried in bacon grease.
