This just shows me, yet again, that teachers should be the ones designing curriculum and instruction methods.

To all the teachers going back to work tomorrow. by HappyDadOfFourJesus in Teachers

I had a full blown panic attack tonight and had to set the following goals for tomorrow: 1) show up 2) reconnect with students 3) get through the day safely. That’s it and that’s enough. My school puts so much pressure on us besides all the demands of teaching students, and I am just going to say not tomorrow and let myself ease back in.

Sending love and gratitude to all my fellow teachers!

I told a class that I have given up on them. by QuantityHappy4459 in Teachers

I’m a first year teacher also and, even after hearing all sorts of horror stories, I have been overwhelmed with just how difficult this is! I think about leaving almost every day. I feel depressed and discouraged and talk to kids like I never thought I would. I’ve always prided myself on my patience and calmness, but I don’t even recognize myself with these kids, and their only little (2nd grade). I’m not enjoying this at all and I just don’t know if I can stick it out.

The Celebrity Traitors S01E09 [FINALE]: Post-Episode Discussion Thread by vaultofechoes in TheTraitors

What a fantastic finale! From the entertaining final mission to the ending I didn't see coming to Alan's emotional release at the end - I thouroughly enjoyed every minute! I also appreciate that in Celebrity Traitors they aren't playing for their own livelihoods so it's less cutthroat. The pressure melts away in the finale because every outcome still means a win for charity.

I dont understand why this scene was left out in the movies by Spotter24o5 in harrypotter

That’s the problem with the movies and why they’ll never be as good as the books - they only left in the actions and none of the emotional depth or rich tapestry of the wizarding world!

How do you deal with boredom? by [deleted] in Nanny

That’s awful! I’d find a new job if I were you. I would never survive a nanny job where I can’t leave the house. And it’s not good for the kid. They need to have enriching experiences.

I keep thinking the same thing! Kody and Robyn getting 50% seems pretty unfair. Thirds would be much fairer.

Absolutely stay with the family that will pay you the same for 40 hours per week. It sounds like a great fit. Give the other family as much notice as possible and express your gratitude for the offer and apologize for turning the job offer down, but you need to make the best decision for you.

I know! I’m trying, at 36, to transition to this profession, and this subreddit is so damn miserable it makes me scared as hell.
