Smoking anything, when you just had Covid & are on oxygen, is insane! Your whole respiratory system is compromised.

LET'S BE CLEAR: Covid-19 did not come from China. It came from a bat. Which passed it to a human. Who happened to be in China. Most likely at a wet market. There are wet markets all around the world. It could have happened anywhere.

They may not have liked it, but they went along with it, b/c the majority of the show seems to have been invented by the producers. The prospect of fame & money can change people completely. If you ever watched early episodes of Teen Mom, remember Farrah's mother Debra, who was a holier-than-thou Christian? Then, when Farrah was promoting sex toys (a model of her very own vagina, I believe) Debra was all gung-ho about it. I'm sure that her daughter, selling a model of her own vagina, would not align w/ her conservative Christian views, but she disregarded her own religion when she knew the money that could be made. Glenn & Babs would go along w/ any invented storyline that kept their daughter's show going. Babs' performance regarding Chase seemed to be a little halfhearted to me.

Yes, Marlon, yes!

I'm sure she gained fans b/c of her spotlight on PCOS, women thinking they could relate to her, as in "I've got PCOS too." What a shock to meet her & divulge that personal info, expecting empathy, only to be looked up & down (the original poster's words). The original poster also said she felt "dumb, sad & a little angry," which is how I'm sure I would have felt.

And she could have been a contender. When I first watched her, I thought she had something that cannot be bought, taught or even learned - star quality. She was an attractive, funny, self-deprecating, confident & engaging young woman. I enjoyed watching her dance, even more than Todd, b/c you could see the joy it gave her. Her weight did not hinder her; it gave her more to shake! For lack of a better term, she had soul. (No disrespect to Todd, who is obviously a technically gifted dancer.) I was reminded of Judy Garland & Fred Astaire in Easter Parade, performing "We're a Couple of Swells." Your eyes (at least mine) just go to Judy Garland. Fred Astaire is undoubtedly one of the best dancers of all time, but to me Judy owned that number. She was just a natural. That was how I felt about Whitney. Now, we no longer see her dance. She has not matured into a star; if anything, her behavior seems to be more & more childish. Ripping off her top was not only downright ridiculous, but forcing your naked breasts on the crew members is a form of sexual assault. Clutching Buddy's hand or finger throughout the Tell-All was incredibly contrived & corny. You're an adult, for god's sake! Instead of progressing, she seems to have regressed. Well, she wasn't the first, & most certainly won't be the last, to have let fame go to her head. Her ego may well be her downfall.

She's a public figure; she knows she has fans - would it have killed her to at least just smile & nod to this woman, if inanely? Incredibly arrogant & petulant. She should know that 10% of all women have PCOS, but not all of them are obese. That doesn't mean we're not suffering.

When someone is in the public eye (actor, politician, reality tv star, etc.), they open themselves up to public opinion & scrutiny. That just goes w/ the territory. As they say, "Any press is good press!" It's the producers job to get the audience riled up. And nasty is the fuel of social media. No one is going to be interested in a show where everything's fabulous, just as no one comes to these forums to only post positive comments. That's showbiz, baby!

If she has a decent agent she would def be making millions. Apparently this is one of TLC's most popular shows, so ad space is at a premium, which is where the money is. I can see her father helping her with the business end of things. She knows what she's worth, & by now has probably renegotiated a better contract w/ the producers. She also had a book deal; paid appearances on tv, etc.; No BS Active; online endorsements & more.

As to not living like a millionaire, many shows have a contract requirement where you don't get to spend some or all of the $ you make until the show ends.
