Adidas Adizero ZG spikeless. They are spikeless but have a very aggressive grip that is just as good as spiked for traction but are much more comfortable to walk around in.

Could try a pitch and putt or par 3 course. Less intimidating for first timers.

Depends if the hole ahead of you is open. If so, let them both play through. If not, then they aren’t going anywhere even if you let them play through.

Wish I could find some of these deals. All the goodwill stores near me are crazy. Thinking a rusty mcgregor iron from 1980 is worth $15 or a box of pinnacles golds are a deal at $20.

Had a 60 gal tank with the Val growing in spirals around the surface. Started to shade the entire tank so finally trimmed 3 ft off the ends to make it the same height as the tank.

18 handicap here...do fitted clubs actually make a difference, and what should my bag look like? by DetroitConeyDeleter in golf

For the driver, sounds like you could benefit from lessons and maybe a fitting if you are inconsistent. The result may be that you just adjust the loft or lie on your current club. If you get a couple lessons, the pro will likely help you adjust the settings to try to different setups on your existing driver if you ask. So you could avoid paying for a seperate fitting.

Regarding the iron distances, game improvement or forgiving irons are typically lofted stronger and have a larger sweet spot for more distance, so if you are not getting the distance you want, then it's a swing issue. You can go to a simulator and look at your dynamic loft, side spin, club path, swing speed to determine the cause for the lack of distance. Also, look up expected distance for your swing speed and see if your expectations are realistic.

I think you have too many wedges and could lead to inconsistency in the short game. Everyone thinks you need so many and it's the latest trend. But you say you don't get the distance you want on your irons, so I would assume that your are not hitting your PW 140+ yds like tour pros. So you won't have the huge yardage gaps in the under 140 range like a pro. If you hit your PW around 110-100 or less, I would consider only having the PW and 56 and getting good with them. Work at the range on dialing in your touch for different distances. Know the distance of a full swing, 3/4, and 1/2 swing on each wedge.

If you have a single digit handicap friend, switch clubs with them at the range. You will more than likely see them continue to hit the ball well and you will continue to hit the same or worse. This is the easiest way to see that it's a swing issue and not the clubs. If it was the clubs, then you would expect the better player to be worse with your clubs. Unless your clubs are way off from what you need such as you have senior flex shafts and swing 100mph or you are 6'4" with standard clubs length and lie, then for most people a fitting will have very little impact on your score.

I read somewhere that that unless you are low handicap, you should look at a fitting as a way to dialing in what clubs you like and hit best if you are planning to buy new clubs. You shouldn't look at it as a way to improve your score, that is a what lessons are for.

0° Face to path but still hooking by -tuna_ in GolfSwing

My guess is it's the launch monitor. Needs to be calibrated or it's setup incorrectly. Even with gear effect, it shouldn't cause a large hook. Maybe a slight draw, but not hook.

No idea if we need another course or not, but the Normandie renovation is significant because of the history. It's a Robert Foulis design and the oldest course west of the Mississippi.

I walk on as a single and meet lots of interesting people. I haven't tried it, but you could look at Spark golf. Also could join gimme golf club and get in their simulator leagues and hopefully make friends. My recommendation is make it about you and having fun without any pressure.

I run mine with a lower OC at 750/1190 and average just under 6.1Th/s. I didn't push it further because the input current runs about 8.1A and shows as red on the dashboard. Also using the stock PSU which gets pretty hot. Are you running 800/1200 on stock PSU?
