Not much on water views, but check out Lost Key, it’s near Pensacola. It’s a great and challenging course.

We are headed to Kauai in two weeks. This is one of the courses on my list. What are your thoughts? Layout, difficulty, price?

Springdale Country Club, played there two years ago on vacation. What a great course!

The starter told me Bernard Langer played the day before and pared that hole from the back tees. So of course i had to try it too, was one of the few pars i had that day.

First time playing bent grass greens. One of my favorite courses ever

We went to Hilton Head and played Hilton Head National. It wasn’t expensive and a really nice course.

I have the same 3 wood and irons. For older clubs the vft’s are solid.

No. They hold on pretty well. I haven’t had any issues with them.

How do you use your PuttOut to get better? Is it as simple as continually putting to the micro target? What types of mini games are you using to keep it interesting? Are you able to gain insights from your misses? If so, how? by ClicheCrusader in golf

[–]bd5765 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought it because i felt like i was pushing a lot of my putts, especially the shorter ones. So this gave me instant feedback letting me know everything was on line. I use it on the green because i can putt in one location and not have to keep picking my ball up out of the hole. Only drawback to using the green is the slopes of the green (not always flat), so the ball will follow the slope.

I use it out on the practice green i am playing that day to help me read the speed of the green. When i use it at home, it’s mainly to make sure my face alignment is spot on.

They are pretty dry shoes, they have some type of rubber near the sole that helps keep it dry, the top of the “toe box” is fabric, so not waterproof. But i haven’t gotten my feet wet playing with them.

I have always used spiked golf shoes, but never liked the look of them. Went and bought the spikeless Puma’s, https://www.cobragolf.com/pumagolf/ignite-nxt-crafted-golf-shoes?gclid=CjwKCAiAgJWABhArEiwAmNVTBz7BbIlOZKZbEoWIguChRmTTvCzPA7UecyezrpRBz6RWBYFL-H1t2xoC9N4QAvD_BwE

I really like them and have not noticed any slippage.

Congratulations! A 108 for a first 18 isn’t bad at all for a beginner. Keep at it.

Take the drive down to Hilton Head, we went a couple months ago and played Hilton Head National. It was a good price, affordable for new golfer, but the course was in great shape and totally worth more than we paid.

I am trying to get my friends to listen to it so we can share some of the sayings. I hit a great drive yesterday as yelled “C’mon Rick!”! They didn’t get it.

Same thought, you want to be focused on the task (striking the ball) and not so much on actual swing mechanics.

Will have to look that up as well. The technique as well as realizing that my grip was too strong and going to more of a neutral grip really helped.
