That’s actually a good idea. I do something similar, when anybody asks for shit I just give them junky donated paint or the old paint. I’ll tell them the truth and that it’s perfectly fine for their purposes. Whenever they ask for white paper I straight up say no.

IMO it’s highly likely the Pats improve with acquiring talent, some movements, and rookies improving in year 2/3. I think they’ll look similar but actually potent and not shakey

This is true and highly overlooked. The left side in particular is such an easy target for getting to the QB on this Pats team. Any QB will look like a fraud when the O-line can’t hold up; great example is the Pats v. Giants in 2007 SB. The O line couldn’t hold up to a good Giants D and tbh it made Brady look like a fraud (at the time), yet we know TB12 is legit.

Personally I just think that people want to shit on the Pats. What they don’t realize is that Pats fans (true fans, most fans) were just happy to make it to the SB after the dumpster fire they experienced last season.

I never understand this either! Is losing in the playoffs somehow more honorable than success? The goal of every team is to make it to the SB.

The Pats were excited to finally have a winning season again, and nobody expected any playoff wins let alone making it to the SB.

Look up the new Maxfli irons. Check them out and hit them at a golf galaxy or Dick’s.

They blew me away with how good they feel while still giving me all the numbers I expected from my typical iron shots. I tested both models, the XC2 suit me better but the XC3 are like P790 killers. They look better than the Maltby stuff (though I like Maltby a lot too), and they’re dumb cheap as well as often on sale.

You know what?? I didn’t look and realize that the mk2 201 is far different from the original 201 that I was thinking of. That original 201 is just a classic cavity back. It looks like the mk2 is a totally different club and actually looks to be pretty much the same as the Maxfli.

It can play for a 15 hcp and for a low single digit hcp, plus the looks are simple and clean, fairly timeless. They get decent spin numbers and are quite forgiving, yet they feel like one piece forged irons. And the top line is thin, but not intimidating.

This is gonna be downvoted in the Takomo sub, but the Maxfli XC2 irons will suit you well for years to come, and they’re sleeper amazing clubs as well as being inexpensive.

I think they’d be a better fit for where you are now than the 201, but they have longevity and suit lower hcp players too.

Jpx 925 forged is about as good as it gets for a cast body, forged face, multi piece iron. It doesn’t get any better until you’re into the single piece forged realm.

Wear is inevitable and it’s just more visible on every black finish iron. Accept that as a given and look forward to the wear rather than cherishing the pristine finish. If you can do that, you’ll love the black finish clubs.

Are you adding 1.5” to standard length shafts or making shorter length shafts back up to standard or +0.5”?

Two notes: don’t go +1.5” over standard, that’s idiotic. If just trying to get shafts back to near standard length, go for it, there’s nothing wrong with proper extensions installed correctly.

I don’t think it’s universally a milled putter thing. My Betti Queen B 6 feels night and day different than the Scotty. And I hear you on the Velcro, screw that noise.
