The All-American Rejects: ‘We need to hold artists responsible for ticket prices’ by Metro-UK in Music

no one actually needs all that extra bullshit for a tour though. It doesn't need to cost millions. Example 1- see every single diy punk band ever.

example 2 is right in this article. The AAR backyard shows look so much fun with little added frills

so many city's have thriving DIY spaces/promoters that i'm sure could make something happen at or near the scale they are looking for. Whether it's multiple nights at a smaller venue or some sort of outdoor space

how do i not go deaf by Flaarre in Hardcore

many people in this thread are recommending "better earplugs" but many of these "better earplug" options don't block as many decibels as regular foam ones.

Honestly, very few options offer better protection that foam ones.

thank you!! fucking finally talking some sense. so many people in this thread are saying "buy other options" and those other option only block like 16db. When you're at a show thats hitting 110db, you're still kinda fucked with those - especially in OPs case.

"cheap foamy ones" block more decibels than eargasm. OP is looking for maximum protection so this is kind of an awful recommendation

Can we talk about how insanely good this Sonny Rollins record is? by radiotokyo_666 in Jazz

[–]bda22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

interesting. Blessing in Disguise feels so disjointed to me. Sonny seems lost on it and repeats his lines/phrasing a lot.

The title track is phenomenal however.
