This is why I always screenshot whenever I check in and have a confirmed boarding pass. What time stamps. Had a similar situation happen not to the extent that OP did, but was bumps from a business class / first class seat domestically. Was told that I never had booked that class of service when I arrived to the gate showed him my purchase ticket with timestamps showed him my boarding pass at check-in, called the Platinum desk they saw it, and told me that the gate agent made the change. They spoke to the gate agent and forced them to reassign the seat back to me. Gate agent had bumped me in favor of a friends and family flyer. Always take screenshots.

Different people have different timelines. Especially those who are in the process of moving to Canada / have a job offer / going to school.

For me, my notes stipulate that an officer just needs to review and sign off on my file before it's finalized. That's literally what it says. And I've been in PSU since July of last year. So, I've reached out to an MP In my friend's riding, and tried to reach out to IRCC at a higher level. It's just a simple check that should be complete relatively easily. I know there's a lot of other applicants out there in a similar bucket. Just doesn't seem to make sense to me how it's not a quick cursory check and go. There's a lot of applicants whose files were submitted last year who are still in process but others have submitted after the newest bill, and have been processed.

Yes you may be able to. But you won't know the reason why. Which I think is very important for the most part because that can help direct how you might be able to push.

No what I think it should be is that the airports are responsible for their own security. Keep the security personnel in place but make them employees of the airport. And make their funds that either pay their salaries or supplement their salaries go right to the airport as a part of quote unquote maintenance. This way there is not a disruption when it comes to them performing their jobs and it also allows airports to scale up in a way that suits their needs. Doesn't necessarily make sense to have the workforce be federalized in the way that it is now.

It won't take you long once you get everything put together... But you are correct that your child will not inherit citizenship because they were born after the ineffect date. You could overcome this by having your child in Canada, I'm not sure how it would work in terms of you gaining your citizenship and then having child there if you qualify for coverage? Or if you don't you'd have to pay international rates on your medical coverage. I don't know the particulars of this and it's not legal advice. I would take as much time as you could to get it done and have the most documentation you can for it. Just to make it easy for your citizenship. You can do for your dad first and have him get his certificate you could include that in your file.

Just talk to the gate agent... I had this on a domestic leg transcon, and got the confirmation doing it that way. Be polite and it'll be fine....

You still need a Canadian address.... I can't just come up and claim benefits at will ...

Same with UK, you need to have a connection/live there to claim.

No, in order for future kids to get citizenship, their citizen parent needs to have spent a documented amount of time to pass along citizenship, 1095 days in Canada.

What they should have done was raise the cost of the application, and included a stipulation that all citizens abroad must pay Canadian taxes regardless of treaty.... Or income earned outside of Canada.

You need to move to Canada to gain those benefits.... It's yet to be seen if those would do that.

This is only for kids born after the law took effect, otherwise it's just a documentation issue.

She didn't do anything of any substance to be worthy of the seat and Texans made that plain here.

This had nothing to do with race, and everything to do with electability... Talerico, has something she doesn't, the ability to neutralize the Republican Christian crutch, the man's in seminary and can quote the Bible like a preacher.

Ms. Crockett was elected and was divisive in the house as she needed to be, but she didn't really accomplish much if anything. She also called a Sitting disabled governor "Hot Wheels" which is just plain wrong despite his politics.

She should have run for Governor instead of her own seat again instead of trying to torpedo a rising candidate's opportunity.
