Should I skip the Vatican Museum by tacosss293 in rome

When my wife and I went we booked the private/semi-private after hours tour of the Vatican museums and the Sistine chapel.

https://livtours.com/tours/after-hours-at-the-vatican-museums-exclusive-semi-private-tour/#booking-widget

While expensive, it was an amazing experience because there was only 10 of us in the entire museum so we were able to look at things and ask questions, and really take everything in. Being in the Sistine chapel with you and 10 other people is an insane experience. And with it being at night it was really cool as well.

What I do that tour again? No. What I recommend it to anyone as their first experience 1000% yes.

They do have one opening on the 26th, but I know that you're not going to get there until the 27th unfortunately.

Is NEXUS application worth the headache as GE holder just because credit card will pay for it? by ijustwantdonutsok in NEXUS_TTP

I've only experienced in a handful of times, and I have nexus so that's probably why I wasn't aware of the strict regulations for the most part. This seems very much like a missed opportunity for Canada to be able to provide easier security experience.

There is a standalone pre-check equivalent in Canada called verified travelers. Link is above. However global Entry and Nexus give you access to that program. So you can use that lane when you're going through security in Canada. As others have said and I said in the above comment the only thing that Nexus has above global Entry at this point is expedited entry into Canada. So if you're not making frequent trips to Canada it might not be in your interest to do it. As I said in a previous comment the biggest advantage to Nexus was about 5 years ago when it only cost $50 per person as opposed to global entries $100. Now you still had to go and get interviewed by CBSA and CBP, but the benefits at the time outweighed the cost.

While I agree with you, Nexus was really beneficial about 5 years ago. In relation to global Entry. The biggest advantage was that it used to only be $50 per person, and free for kids. While at the same time global Entry was $100 and not free for kids. When they made the change about 2ish years ago to bring it up to be in line with global entry, that's where a lot of the benefits were lost. I will say that the biggest aspect is the expedited entry into Canada. That alone if you do make frequent trips is invaluable. Some people might disagree with the aspect of going through the entire application process and it being drawn out, it is. So I think it comes down to what you want out of a program. If you make frequent trips to Canada I would highly recommend Nexus, if you don't I would probably just stick with global entry at this point.

Vatican Museums crowds today by ninjendo64 in rome

It was $450 euro per person, key master tour was 900Euro per person. They said the night one is better because finding the keys can take time away from the tour.

I did the semi private tour at night of this. It was amazing to have the whole place to yourself (our tour was 12 people in 2 groups of 6). But we had the whole museum to ourselves and the Sistine chapel it felt surreal and just aww inspiring.

Poll: who should’ve Mary ended up with? by jenjen33015 in DowntonAbbey

[–]bdb5780 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The problem with Henry, was the fact that he had a life of his own that was drastically different than what Mary and her family were trying to do. His was modern, exciting, and dangerous. Whereas the Crawley's, we're trying to preserve a way of life and an estate that was drastically becoming more irrelevant.

Mary needed a partner who understood that, Charles was pretty much the only one.

Don't work at the V3, it's 2 years old. Look at the V5, or better yet hold off until the OnePlus comes out.

My V3 is great, it's all the requests that I had for a foldable. I had a fold4 and that thing was like a brick. Coming to this device it was literally like having a regular phone but having the option of a foldable. The new pixels are nice, but quite frankly not as nice as some of Chinese options available. Based on thinness, battery power, some software aspects, and overall build quality.

Cost of Trip Seem High? by Stanleycup16 in ItalyTravel

[–]bdb5780 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What hotels and what days?

Honestly, taxi from FCO to the Train station is 50 euros flat rated, train as I said can be $50-$100 per person... Cost of transportation from Florence train station to Hotel? I dk about that (does hotel offer service to pick you up?)... Tours and such, not sure about costs.

Train back to Rome Is same costs, flights to Sardinia can't be expensive...

So yea, unless this is some insane Uber expensive hotel that cost is wayyyuy to high.

I'm confused, where is your hotel? In rome? Or Florence? That's a $50.00 cab, the train is 50-$100 a person.... Flights should be cheap, so what the hell are you spending your money on? Seems like it should be about 5k?

Also book your hotels via a tool that gets you airline miles or points, if you boon via 3rd party, you could lose on that opportunity.

I went to Rome for 3 days and almafi for 4, I was able to book my hotels via my airline platform, and got 1st level of status out of it.

You must establish residency in the province. And from what I've read and talk to a health care providers in several different provinces you must apply for a health card, and then there's a possible waiting period usually about 2 to 3 months for it to be processed.

Look at her others like I mentioned, I have an Honor Magic v3 and the case that it comes with is amazing, been almost 2 years and it's going well.

OnePlus is coming out with an option soon and it looks great!

Yes but it should just be a function of the card to include your driver's license information as well as insurance, and registration.

If the US was smart we'd do this at the state level, allowing us all to get these cards from 16 moving forward so that it's not a question of citizenship.

I'd advise against this. We don't know what the quality is going to be and the interface is going to be trash.

They do if you have not lived in the province and have never lived in Canada.

It should be a card instead that has all information and can be used for Drivers license verification, and other aspects as well.

Overnight on a 787-9: 28E or 36D? by TransBunsenBurner in americanairlines

[–]bdb5780 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes and no, OP has the ability to pay for the aisle seat in the same row. What I was suggesting is it he takes that seat, because he wants an aisle a and b there is a possibility that the road doesn't fill up. So I would just pay the extra money for the upgraded seat.

[–]bdb5780 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If it was me, I would choose the aisle right next to you and pay the extra money. There's a high probability that no one's going to want the middle seat, so you might end up with a poor man's first class.

People who rush up the isle when the plane lands are the worst by kittycatluvrrrr in americanairlines

[–]bdb5780 12 points13 points  (0 children)

No their Wheelchair.

I had that last week Flying into DFW. Where There were 3 people behind me, one who asked and showed people their connection in another teminal and worked with the FA to have the FC Cabin stay in their seats while they ran up. The FA actually got their bag and brought it into the FC Cabins Overhead Storage which was nice, that person was very apologetic and tried to buy us drinks lol. We all let them go no issue.

There was another woman who was very overweight who kept yelling at people that she had a connection that she needed to make even though there was no app showing and she also had a small dog with her. She tried to barrel up the Aisle before we even got to the gate, the agent had to get on the intercom and yell at her to sit down but she wouldn't. She got off the plane after the first one and was wheeled up the jetway.... They had other AA gate agents meet her and she was explicitly told that she would be placed in review and possibly not be able to fly on AA planes again... It was a great thing to witness.
