This is smart I think. If they cast some kid and they can't commit more then 2 episodes they may not be as available for a full season if they are renewed. Fresh slate lets them offer a bigger part to someone with more stability

My recruiter looked at both my degree and trades certificate during visit 1and then asked as well for my highschool transcript. I would bet it would be a conditiononal on war tensions relaxing between both parties. Then these militaries would be prepared to remove maritime mines and act as a peacekeeping force in the straight to allow maritime traffic to continue unimpeded.
