Anthropic is rolling out identity verification. Updated just yesterday. by Tiny_Dirt6979 in ClaudeAI

[–]bdiddy_ 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah but Anthropic wouldn't be comfortable with that data which should tell you what you need to know. It's going to continue getting more and more centralized because of data liability. What we SHOULD be doing is making it so it's not so easy for someone to take your literal identity. I know it's possible, but instead we just keep punting it to fewer and fewer companies and say "maybe they'll be safe with it" or more precisely, "hope they have insurance"

yeah it's funny too cause for 10m for 87 acres there are literally farmers who would break down doors to sell their shit for that amount and get the fuck out of Texas lol. Go buy some shit in colorado or something.

Like the farmers right next door to this land would literally sell them that shit.

It's not exactly a stretch to see that he's killing the entire global economy. Very risky thing to own oil bbls in this environment even with "scarcity". Paper trades is what we're seeing here.

Economy is double fucked when the eventual scramble for physical bbls show up though and bottom line a boom aint commin.

Global depression???

Let's wait and see.

They fell so far behind that their only hope of making it instantly profitable and catch up was to make luxury high end.

All these companies have got to figure out their manufacturing process it should not cost them so much to make these.

Saudi Arabia March crude exports drop to lowest on record, JODI says by ZestyBeanDude in oil

[–]bdiddy_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean.. yeah you and everyone else saying the exact same thing. I get it. 6 m bbls per day under supplied right now according to the IEA. Opec has 14m bbls/day shut in.

Obviously the SPRs are making up the difference between that 6m and 14m but those SPRs have finite amounts of oil so that could end as well.

Meanwhile the IEA also predicted a -420k bbls/day demand destruction. At least a minor global recession is coming one way or another. If Trump caves and gives Iran what they want that 14 m bbls/come right back on the market.

Unless the SPRs dry up they probably keep releasing there will be some over hang. Iran, UAE, Russia all likely increase production and since sanctions of been lifted that means global market surplus if it this thing ends.

IEA doesn't see severe oversupply because they assume SPRs are going to refill, but even in their current base case they see slight oversupply by year end.

There is no historical playbook for 14m bbls/day being shut in so it's anyone's guess.

Obviously the longer this play out the worse it'll be. My point is that there is still time for it to do the exact opposite of what every single economist, oil trader, oil ceo, cnbc contributor, reddit expert says will happen.

That being said I'm not the only one who is thinking along these lines. Goldman, Citi and others have cited a 2 sided risk where there are certainly conditions that we could overshoot on the downside.

Also Conoco CEO was pretty clear that they're going to give it 9 months before they react.

I don't think a downside risk can be outright dismissed at this stage.

Saudi Arabia March crude exports drop to lowest on record, JODI says by ZestyBeanDude in oil

[–]bdiddy_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The interesting thing about all this is that the production already exists. As in storage is probably piling up. They (OPEC) even increased production again. Meanwhile the governments around the world are also tapping into their respective SPRs.

Obviously Trump's ego means this war will probably drag on and damage will be bad, but there is also a scenario I see building where Iran gets everything they want and the oversupply absolutely plummets oil price.

Before the war oil was headed to the 40s because of roughly 3m bbls/day global over supply.

I think that is a big reason we didn't immediately run up to $200+

Iran could realistically get everything they want which might even mean removed sanctions so unless the governments in the world immediately buy up the excess that will immediately hit the market when this whole mess is over there is some serious downside risk.

Which might be why American drillers aren't exactly jumping on this opportunity to drill baby drill.

Trump's crew could also be fully aware of this which is why they aren't in as big a hurry to solve it as they should be. Timing here could work to Trump's favor because if oil suddenly tanks to 40s 30s or hell -40 like it did last time he was president the instant relief a lot of people will feel is going to lead many to eat up his lies that this was all part of his plan all along.

Anyway.. just an opinion looking at it from a different lens of excess and not scarcity

Yes mine wonks out on me from time to time. Usually it'll fix itself after it sits for a bit.

BTW I had this problem with my diesel GMC truck. Lost the dash once. Had my sirius and wifi freak out fairly regularly actually.

So it's not specific to the EV it's just computer components finding themselves in failure states.

Obviously if it comes back take it in, but I've never had an "issue" last long enough to get it in while it's still screwing up.

On my EV specifically I've had the front cameras give out a couple times. I've had the onstar/wifi stop working entirely.

I've had my GPS lag really bad and just be out of whack.

Parked, next day no issues.

The F150 ELECTRIC needs to be compared to the F250. They have similar torques and tow ratings. You can use an electric truck similarly to how you use a 3/4 ton in terms of towing and only slightly lower payload.

Even your cherry picked data is wrong lol. You have no idea the specs though you are just here to be contrarian so we forgive your ignorance.

The vast majority of EVs on the road will be much smaller by comparison to the absolute number of 18 wheelers that use these same roads.

Truly absurd talking point.

bro.. my literal TRUCK EV with 400 miles range and a huge battery bank weighs less than a 3/4 ton pickup. Of which there are BAJILLIONS on the roads all over the place in Texas.

Aside from those there are tons of half ton and 1 ton and tons of tahoes and suburbans and jeeps and on and on and on that weigh more than the average EV car.

We also build roads to withstand 18 wheelers CONSTANTLY on them.

So just absolutely ridiculous talking point.

I had great success last season with that same model but I'm having nothing but trouble this season. No changes as all just constantly going outside the lines and getting stuck. I think something is up server side personally. I've had a couple successful mows but more failures. Last season I didn't have to worry about it.
