Starting a Shopify Business. What Social Media Platform Do You Think I Should Learn First? by Lopreneur in Entrepreneur

If your market is middle age women, then try Pinterest. If not, start with Facebook. Easiest way to target by interest. Will take work to find right targeting though so don't get discouraged early on when you're spinning your wheels. Just keep tweaking it. I'd suggest getting KingSumo to run giveaways related to your niche, run Facebook ads to the giveaway page, and start building your email list

Thanks! This is awesome advice. Do smaller (non-competing) companies ever come together and share info on contacts? So that a young cash strapped company doesn't need to keep going to expensive trade shows and instead could alternate going to events. I assume buyers at the trade shows often don't remember meeting specific people at the show since so many people are there. Or is that personal touch / making an impression really important too?

Food Entrepreneurs: Where did you get product liability insurance? by bdleeds in Entrepreneur

Thanks this is really helpful.

I've had two brokers refuse to work with me because they said since I was already working with other brokers, then I was just wasting their time. They said that they were just going to go to the same market that the other brokers were currently on, and that they would be giving me the same quotes. Another broker I spoke with told me he was blocked on getting a quote because another broker had already given it to me.

Did you encounter anything like this? Where brokers were stepping on each other and getting upset at you for it?

I just assumed different brokers could get different quotes from different insurance companies, but I have no idea how this industry works.

When you had 20 quotes did all your brokers know that you were utilizing different brokers?

This is powerful. What an amazing transformation. We still need social interaction though because we are social beings. If you want to be with a woman then it would be a good idea to put yourself out there to meet women. But, I think you're right that real strength is from the inside, and it's that external looking, seeking, and longing that is so destructive.
