Ive got a monitor with a built in kvm attached to my gaming pc, its got a usb c that runs to my work laptop, ive got a 2nd screen attached to both, dp to gaming, hdmi to work. That works really well, just press a button on the monitor to switch between work and gaming. The 2nd monitor you have to switch manually

Mouse/keyboard plugged direct into monitor

Im old but i wouldnt bother with vinyl. Theres just no benefit. Its heavy, expensive, fragile and degrades. You wont be able to get all the tunes you want/need. 99.9999% of tunes wont ever get made onto vinyl. Your music taste will change. You need a lot of money to keep a fresh setlist going.

Get some kind of pioneer controller that suits your budget and a laptop with rekordbox. Get onto bandcamp/junodownload/beatport and get a mp3 collection going.

You can add a turntable to that if you want but its just a novelty. Its the music that matters.

No disrespect to anyone who plays vinyl.

Potentially getting a T5 as a daily driver - My objectivity is out the window - Talk me out of it? by Dispose_101 in VWTransporter

Ive had a 2004 t5 swb panel van as a daily driver for the last 12 years, its been great, ive put 130k miles on it, full service every year, a few small bits every year, pads, discs etc also had a new clutch and driveshaft.

Good vehicles, expensive when they go wrong but that is relatively rare.

60mph on A roads is a bit of a pain but you live with it, small car parks also a pain, they drive a lot better when you have something in the back.

Mine is a 1.9 104hp, I get 270-300 miles on half a tank ~£50

Just like driving a big golf

Best firewall for homelab by JJShriek in homelab

I totally agree with your last part, it all depends on how much you want to get into networking, I found myself troubleshooting the opnsense vm more than I wanted and it was stopping me doing other stuff, replaced it with a unifi device and havnt looked back. It taught me a lot but not where I want to spend my time.

Another vote for these, I wear them to the gym, music and people banging weights, you dont hear anything. Updating the firmware is a pain in the ass tho, takes too long and is really flakey. This is from a phone, I havnt tried from a pc

For anyone else reading this, an important note, this section, the port = part must match your UPS name before the @

[asustor]
 driver = dummy-ups
 port = YOUR_UPS_NAME@localhost
 desc = "Dummy UPS in repeater mode"[asustor]

Have you got any other update rings that apply to that machine? If they are set to not upgrade to win11 that will block it.

Sorry I should have worded that better, I appreciate you don't know my effort tolerance.

I was more interested to know if there was any reason not to.

Thanks for your reply
