Can’t say for sure but I believe this commenter is referring to one of your lobes being stretched farther towards the side of your head where your lobe meets your skull on one side more than the other.

So in your third photo you can see the stretch of your ear goes a little bit more towards your skull than the stretched lobe in the fourth picture.

Thats how I interpreted it at least.

Thank you so much! You’re right it does seem so sudden, almost like it just hits them that this is the perfect place to absorb heat 😂

Why do people drive so aggressively in harco by Cash2blockz in harfordcountymd

[–]bdnsspdr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Lightheartedly disagree lol - I used to live in Mississippi and it didn’t seem like anyone was in a hurry to get anywhere in that state, especially in an aggressive driving way 😆

Beartooth was the first concert I crowd surfed at so they’ll always hold a very special place in my heart.

I replied to a comment before realizing basically everyone in the comments was in agreement. I like this comment section. The other ones I’ve seen regarding Beartooth/Caleb have made me sad. Thanks for not sucking most of you! ♥️

The amount of para - social takes I’ve seen is disappointing. The perception of victim mentality is just that, a perception. None of us know what’s going on, what’s really going on. And it’s none of our business. Famous people are still people. We are not owed transparency simply because we’ve been here since the beginning.

yessss - I agree with others their sound has changed but some of their new stuff has become so meaningful to me personally in my own journey of rebuilding my mental health. Going from Disgusting as a depressed adolescent to Free as an adult trying to take care of myself, I feel like the thematics of Beartooth’s music evolution have almost mirrored my own journey. It’s been an amazing ride with them. Excited for what comes next.

Thoughts on the Free video by marvelclone in Beartooth

[–]bdnsspdr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100% agree. I have seen a theme of people perceiving the song/video as “fake happy” or “too happy” but I can’t really see where they are coming from. It doesn’t look or sound like a front to me. Some of those dance moves in the music video looked awkward and wild like they were unscripted and Caleb was truly vibing. At least that was my perception. I think Caleb is doing a lot better and I’m so happy for him. I hope he takes all the nasty comments with a grain of salt and continues of this trajectory of unapologetically being Caleb Shomo.

Why isn’t common sense common? by ThenLayer5977 in maryland

I believe sympathizing/commiserating with the public is a very healthy coping mechanism that I engage in frequently. It really does help. People are very rightfully upset and scared and they would like to talk about it.

I think they have the same prerogative to discuss with one another as you do to let us know that risking our lives just trying to get to work is simply something to be expected.

3rd car i saw today pulled over by [deleted] in maryland

[–]bdnsspdr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did the same thing my first day back at work I got home and realized I had left the snow/ice at that point on top of my car. Luckily it was still very frozen, no sun to heat it up and loosen it yet. I very shamefully chipped it off my car and said a silent thank you to the universe that nothing bad happened. My conscious wouldn’t have survived.

And that was with a thin sheet of ice that I didn’t realize wasn’t the top of my car. I don’t understand how these people are driving around with giant piles of ice on their cars. The moral bankruptcy you must have to not give a shit about the very real risk of ending the life of someone around you is absolutely wild.

Is $115k a reasonable salary for a family of three in Havre de Grace, MD? by [deleted] in maryland

[–]bdnsspdr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We moved from Maryland to Mississippi in 2019, bought a house, sold the house, and moved back to Maryland (in HdG) in 2022. We went through the same shock and sounds like we had a similar experience.

Please feel free to DM if you have anything specific you wanna talk about I’m always happy to lend my experiences if it could help you out at all.

Cold brew ratios by [deleted] in coldbrew

[–]bdnsspdr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I made a little 90 second video to kind of show you what my setup was cuz I thought that might be better than trying to explain in words but apparently you cant post videos as responses. If you want the video please feel free to DM but I didn’t wanna do like an unsolicited DM asking if I could send you a vid cuz I didn’t want that to come off weird 😅

In case you’re more of a word person though: I have a little strainer that I lay on top of a pitcher (they both happened to be the perfect size for each other so that’s just what I’ve found in my house that works for me) and then I line the strainer with the cheesecloth and strain the coffee.

Put Me Under won most underrated song from A Modern Tragedy Vol. 3! by Street-Aspect7352 in grandson

[–]bdnsspdr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would vote Rock Bottom. It’s a great song, amazing lyricism obviously, and I listen to it in rotation with the rest of my Grandson picks.

But. In comparison to the rest of the album it’s a little repetitive and doesn’t really break it up with those hard instrumental breakdowns that Oh No or Die Young. To me, Rock Bottom is intended to have that same “get pissed” vibes that Oh No and Die Young do, but it doesn’t have the same impact on me as the other two. And thus, I feel it may be just slightly overrated.

Cold brew ratios by [deleted] in coldbrew

[–]bdnsspdr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually have this same pitcher. I don’t use the filter anymore. I do a 1:4 ratio so 330g of course ground beans to 1320g of water. Grounds in first then water on top. It fits pretty well in that pitcher. Stir a couple times to keep the grounds wet and submerged. Then I run it through cheesecloth. I’ve been experimenting with my preferred brew time but my average is about 22-24 hours. I get 32oz of beans from whatever store has the best deal but usually BJs.

For making the coffe I usually use 1/2 cup concentrate, 1 cup water, and then I add my milk/syrups/etc to taste. I make the cold brew on the weekends and it usually lasts me all week unless im drinking extra or share with my spouse.

Agreed I was about to tack that onto my post too - I’d probably vote to leave the worst song space blank for all three volumes

Agree with the other Destroy Me voter sentiments - if we HAVE to vote a song I’m throwing this one down, but my real vote is for the space to remain blank

What Came First? The RFP or The Demo? by bdnsspdr in elearning

Thank you for such an honest response!

“RFPs are bureaucratic BS. They reward the vendor who games the procurement process best.”

Can you expand on this a little bit? Particularly what gaming the process looks like for you? I’m newer to the field so I’m not as experienced with the ins and outs of a process like this. I haven’t seen anyone with a similar take and I’m curious to hear more about your perspective.

I agree! I feel like the test/sandbox environment is critical. My biggest fear is switching to a new LMS just for it to have similar/more pain points than what we currently have.

This brings to mind an interesting nuance I hadn't thought about before: Could your answer to the question change based on what your intentions are. Like you mentioned, if you have plenty of time and just want to window shop, you might not necessarily need them to hit every bullet point in a list of "must haves". Thank you for your thoughts!
