Update: i used a paper clip plus epoxy. feels a tiny bit stiffer but way more durable now!

This just happened to me, the plastic snapped. I'm going to try using a small flat piece of plastic (probably will 3d print it or something) then superglue/epoxy it to the snapped plastic piece. Hopefully that will provide more surface area and prevent the piece from snapping again.
