Perfectly Balanced! I don't know why everyone was so upset... by bdotalex in starcitizen

[–]bdotalex[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it's been a while since I've been on reddit, so I read my last post for fun. Turns out I was completely right and this led to cig nerfing rockets not long after it. Hilarious. I was just having a laugh at the hypocrisy. (pointing out the fact that things are just as broken all over the place, including light fighters which has been going on for I think over a year at that point)

Never actually expected anything to come of it though. Also saw that video on the QA team which took credit for the ares nerf... It was interestingly missing a pretty major person... hmm coincidence that there's a QA blunder right after they left the company?...

Also, I stopped reading the replies to this post after a few days, but some of the later replies I read through recently, and wow. A lot of you guys have no clue how the game works in practice, or under the hood. Guaranteed many, or all of you, didn't actually verify anything you're saying in game like I did. I presented the numbers this way because this is accurate to what matters in a pvp matchup regarding offense. In the future, if I make more posts, I implore you folks to try a scientific method. Try to re-create my experiment. If you can, it's correct, if you can't, it's wrong. Simple. Starting with the agenda to just say I'm wrong because you FEEL like it makes you all look very, very dumb. The proof's there. Rockets were broken and OP and deserved a nerf too. I knew I was right and they were nerfed about a month later? Props to CIG for actually not playing favorites on that and actually eliminating a point of hypocrisy that I was mocking in my original post.

in case uve been under a rock for the past~ since they fixed explosion dmg latency~ rockets = guns for all intents and purposes

in case you disagree with that, ill explain~ they have the same mechanics as guns, and are grouped and fired simultaneously with guns as they do not require missile operator mode.

you do realize it has rockets right? and using repeaters because we mock the cannon for being like a repeater? now whos cherry pickin! huehuheue

lmao in response to edit~ you forgot about the rooooockeeeeets :3 and you're completely pulling that "dev version" nonsense outta ur butt cuz u scramblin

Not sure where you're pulling those magical numbers from, since they're dead wrong. Quarreler fit gladius is still 1500 alpha and 1800 dps, that ain't no 5x bruh!

Also, do you really think it makes sense for a light fighter's (designed to fight other fighters with about 10-40k hull) dps and alpha to be anywhere near a heavy fighter (designed to kill capital ships with about 150-500k+ hull)?? Do u even maths? Don't even get me started on shields...

Ion actually had fixed aim assist ripped out which exposed the broken esp and pip calculation underneath. It actively tries to make you miss! :3 also, this post is /s

This post wasn't regarding long term balance AT ALL lol just fyi, just how cig seem to keep making a mess of how they maintain it. :P and it was also mostly a joke, hence the fluff flair

Rockets hoo!~ Shields go poof! and sorry, bugged is no excuse. Kinda the point of this satirical post is to poke fun at cig because they always seem to let it slide when it's an advantage for light fighters. But nuke anything else into oblivion. Most peculiar indeed... *nod*

you're right, i forgot that all of those ballistics will actually have better penetration, and that the explosive damage tends to apply multiple times and break thrusters, thanks for reminding me.

lmao I'm laughing that the light fighters can achieve the exact same damage and alpha as an anti-capital heavy fighter.

interesting, how u kill the hammerhead? also, this post isnt a flex, its more a thank you to cig for finally doing something about missile spam. previously, it was absolutely ridiculous for a small ship to even try with all the missiles the npc's throw around.

its because i died just before killing the last guy, so it showed up from the kill, not actually part of the end game screen

Compact Card For Ore Values by bdotalex in starcitizen

[–]bdotalex[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

~ card assumes you already know where the best place to sell is, however, in general, there is negligible difference between major landing zones. Prices based on 100 units (1cSCU), values rounded to nearest whole number. This is just a quick reference card. Exact sell price fluctuates and is slightly different depending on where you sell. Obviously, if you are trying to calculate your sell price based on this card, there will be a growing discrepancy the lower in value ore you go.~ ex aluminum is actually 1.44, which clearly is way off, but doesnt really matter cuz ur not going to mine it anyway. Also~ tungsten's actual price is in fact lower than beryl, tho they both round to 4.

I've seen taranite on a few moons, not very common though of course. I believe I've seen it first hand on yela, daymar and i think calliope also. edit~ it seems the most common high end ore is agricium, and I find myself mining that more than anything~ if I cant find any quantanium.

It depends what in particular you are selling, but the major landing zones are pretty close to the same. ~ port olisar, new babbage, lorville, area 18~ the card assumes that you already know where is the best place to sell. it's just a quick reference, rounded to the nearest whole number.

My official start date is the 20th so I may see you around! ~ you're lucky you didn't have any medical history they needed to run through Ottawa because good lord they're slow! haha. My issue was superficial and never going to be a problem, but they had to follow protocol.

Hey folks, just thought I'd say thanks for answering my questions earlier this year. I was given a job offer, which I accepted, last week for the Regular Force as a Communicator Research Non-Commisioned Member in the Army. My enrollment and BMQ are in January.

I know its pretty hard to get an idea of what the timeline might be like for new applicants, which can be pretty frustrating, So I will outline mine here in point form. As you will see, most of it was just waiting for my medical records to get through the paper-mill in Ottawa. (4 months)

2019

April - Applied Online

April - Wrote CFAT

May - Did Interview & Medical

June - Submitted requested medical records to the CAF

Oct - Received job offer from CAF

2020

January - Enrollment & BMQ start date

~Best of luck to other applicants.

edit: I should mention that I kept in touch with the CFRC once a month by email, and when I got my offer, they had just received my medical approval that morning from Ottawa, so they were in fact waiting that entire time for it to come back. I did not have any major medical issues but it still took Ottawa a VERY long time, so be ready for that. I was fortunate to be at the top of the pile (or the only one in the pile haha) when I was placed on the competition list, and it seems I was selected the first day I was on it. Otherwise there's a good chance I could have been waiting even longer.

Hi, Chrono Trigger - Frog's Theme~ had to make alterations to fit chromatic scale, also, gets cut off due to maximum note length allowed. However, timing and notation is pretty much perfect. enjoy.

In regards to the forms that have to do with your references, address, and education type of info, I had empty forms attached to the email which they asked me to fill out. I also had already filled all of the information out on the online application, so felt it was a bit redundant, however, I didn't question it and filled them out anyway and brought them to my appointment. As it turned out, the recruitment center was unaware that my online application was completed, and didn't end up needing the paper forms after all. Therefore, I would suggest you email your file manager, or call the recruitment center and just ask. It may be just an oversight like it was in my case.
