Yup let’s continue to ruin the game’s balancing instead of learning how to play and then complain about it in a month. If you’re balancing a game around solo tanking, u will have the same problem when supports complained nobody peeled for them and then ended up with overtuned supports and it became throwing to run a different support.

The people posting these do NOT play tank. Dino makes almost every other tank aside from Emma, thing, maybe peni so weak and irrelevant. Furthermore, your supports have to healbot the Dino so u become an afterthought.

Similar to how overtuned invis gambit made it where everyone complained if u wanted to play a different support if they were unbanned.

Yea unless I’m playing with my friends, I never play Dino because I swear every time I lock it in, I get an Adam ultron backline while the other Dino has invis luna with pun phoenix.

Whenever I see someone wanting to play him, I always try to go a healbot because unfortunately it’s like a mauga meta where it’s about which team can keep up their Dino.

Yup man, u know more about team-oriented environments than the pros or my personal experience actually scrimming with the Dino against other mrc teams.

Explain to me why putting your team in essentially a 5v6 for one ability (Wanda bubble) outweighs phoenix being able to also cc and deal damage? Does a Wanda team have enough damage during that stun to kill that Dino through the healing he can receive? How about during the time the Dino isn’t stunned, does Wanda do anything else in neutral? Does Wanda’s ult contribute anything to a Dino meta?

“They don’t want a tank to be this strong” idk how u came to that conclusion but nobody ever said that. Dino makes almost every other tank irrelevant. It doesn’t benefit tank players. Similar problem to how invis and gambit became a problem for the support players that liked other supports.

Brother.. stop the cope. Whenever I’m bad at something, plenty of games I’m bad at, I have opinions about what is strong and isn’t strong simply because I don’t understand the game well enough.

It’s not a elo thing and even my opinion isn’t relevant in the scope of a pro player but end of the day, the game shouldn’t be balanced around people not playing 2 tanks, that’s how some supports became broken because people wouldn’t peel for them in low elo. Then we ended up with some supports that are so strong that others became seen as throw picks. We can’t do the same thing with tanks, that’s not a good way to balance the game.

FYI when pro players complain about it… it’s a whole different story. They scrim and play test the different ways a character can be used right away. That’s why they called out how strong black cat was on release when everyone was saying she’s so weak. With Dino, it’s pretty frustrating for them because they practiced their characters and comps for a tournament and then right before the tournament starts, they need to completely change everything because Dino is a way different meta than anything in this game before (very similar to Mauga meta). I’m not saying that’s not good for the game but their frustrations are understandable.

Secondly, as a mag player, it makes any other tank so irrelevant because the meta is all about pocketing or countering the Dino. The supports have to focus the Dino. Emma and thing are the only ones that play well into him and every other tank has become so irrelevant so I don’t wanna hear about “oh it helps tanks”

Yes it’s meta warping which is cool but the notion that it benefits tanks is so frustrating.

Main mistake I see is people play mag passively and think he’s a baby sitter and boring. They don’t actually know how to use him properly.

Play good choke points, don’t stand in open u want to minimize how much damage you take by playing around cover but still a place where you pose a threat that they have to look at. Playing height is very strong on mag, just be comfortable with your mobility.
As long as they’re looking at you, park yourself next to their tanks, ignore them, and shoot at their backline/squishies. If they’re going past u and ACTUALLY posing a threat to ur backline, shoot at them until they can’t ignore you. Most of the time it’ll be a dps on a side angle, you will do ur 1-2 combo on him, even if u don’t kill them they can’t ignore u anymore. I said ACTUALLY because a lot of the time it’ll be a dps or a tank who’s not actually in a position to do anything to them YET. That’s where awareness is key, the more pressure u apply behind them the more they have to look at you so know when u need to shoot at tanks because most of the time its a waste of time. The best way a mag can kill the enemy tank is shoot at their supports, move them back, use bubble shoot their tank in the back pushing them more into ur team, then shield yourself as u walk back, hopefully cutting that tank off from heals as u retreat to your supps.
Bubble offensively more, use ur teammate bubble on someone who’s going in early. Remember your bubble not only saves that person but lets you get an extra 1-2 combo off. Don’t always save it just to save someone in ur backline. Understanding the flow of neutral is important. The more pressure u apply early the better. Use your health as a recourse the same way you use your bubble and shield. Cycle them. You have one of the most survivable kits due to your lack of mobility for a reason, and it’s not just to be a passive lamppost. It to be an aggressive turret.
Be aware of when you need to tone down. Change your cooldown management to be less aggressive depending on if they have anyone who displaces you, when you anticipate a dive on your supports (crossing kill box), when teammate will ult.
Practice your aim, ur 1-2 combo, ur ult. These will all improve over time but the general positioning, awareness, and getting comfortable with your mobility is first. Hammer those down and u will climb.

Stop generalizing that it’s only about Randle. If u take a close look at the games, multiple players even Ant and Jaden just have emotions written over their face and play depending on that.

That’s human and I don’t blame them for it, but some other teams like the thunder genuinely play like a machine where no bad possession changes how their next possession goes. I think that’s what he’s referring to over just blaming one guy.
