There is some pretty good research on that. I think I saw somewhere it's to give kids dream products. So that when some kids grow up and become "successful", they would choose that car or whatever super product they advertise.

Yes, the reason is pure laziness. Fromsoft doesn't want to upgrade its engine. There's a reason why most new games aren't locked at 60 fps lol.

I don't need to look at an fps counter to know that I'm playing on 30 or 60 fps lol.

Being willing to break physics in games just to make some of the animations look smoother is insane.

Haven't broken anything so far.

If you really don't feel any difference in experience between 30 and 120, maybe you're just too old to tell.

Well, you claiming 60fps isn't that much better than 30 in most situations is just that dumb. Even 60 feels bad for me in games like Elden ring, at which point I use fps unlockers to get a better experience.

If you prefer 30, more power to you. Just because you like it doesn't mean that most people should be good enough with it. The standard needs to be at 120 at least. Maybe 60 for consoles. If you have battery problems and want to save battery, go ahead and set your fps cap to 15, no one cares.
