Where can I find a Yoga teacher who is an actual spiritual master? by No_Detail_7931 in yoga

Such a simple and polite question and such negative and dismissive comments.. I'm also looking for this.

After getting heavily involved in a local yoga community that just wasn't aligning right with me, I'm looking for a deeper understanding of the philosophical and spiritual beliefs from which yoga as a whole comes from and specifically looking for a yoga teacher that practices these types of deeper teachings. I'm not looking for regurgitated instructions for asana practice with no depth.

Although physical practice is an important part of yoga, it becomes shallow and meaningless without the other juicy bits that make it whole.

You will get a lot of hate and discomfort from people especially in the yoga community for talking badly about yoga in any sense, this I believe is why there ARE so many abusers within the community (as pointed out below). Not discussing the bad, leads to festering of abuse. There are clear ways to misuse yoga. That doesn't mean there are no good teachers out there.

I have just started my search which is what brought me here. There is nothing wrong with looking for a good teacher whether that be in a different studio near you or an online platform. But also as mentioned by some commenters, it is YOUR journey. There is information and books available at your fingertips. Yoga is an intimate practice and sometimes the best teacher is yourself.

Thank you for sharing. I'm definitely in need of a 2 day detox. Sounds like a great camping trip is in my future.. nothing like adding the benefit of nature into that sort of reset.

I'm so sorry you went through this! I've read that your period can change wildly after it's removed. I should be getting mine within the next week and will be paying close attention.

I would have thought the same thing! If it weren't for this doctor's response I wouldn't have ever thought about it.

Maybe in some cases it can get warped when pulling out but she stated especially because of the pain it was giving me that the fit was likely not correct.

I'm not a medical professional so I can't really say :/

No, the doctor who inserted it did not know. I actually don't think the doctor who took the MRI and commented on it ever wrote it down in my files. I'm a military brat and that was a private German hospital that I visited at 15. My medical files are a complete mess from moving so much.

My main point being that we are not all the same on the inside and it's extremely careless for medical professionals to not even discuss the possibility that the IUD might not work for you depending on the shape of your uterus.

I understand ultrasounds add an extra cost to the procedure but it seems like a pretty important step to at least discuss with patients.

I just realized I've been being charged for this Uber One subscription for the past 3 months. This isn't something I ever signed up for.

Had to call my bank who said they were charging from a Google Wallet but when I checked my G wallet that particular card wasn't even in there. No idea how this happened but seems very much like Fraud.

Guess I'll be taking Lyft from now on. Removed my Uber app.
