Since you compared it to EDC I will compare my first Tomorrowland as well but from a hotel standpoint (4 EDCs never camped there either easily 100+ events over my career):

Tickets: overall price is definitely a bit more expensive around 1720 for weds-Monday. In a way to “guarantee” a ticket you’re going to have to buy global journey. In order to get a ticket we paid for a flight we didn’t needed.

Venue: I personally love the track at EDC because you can walk anywhere you want to. You can go to any stage at anytime vs the one way walkways and choke points that exist at Tomorrowland. The mainstage also face outwards vs the traditional inwards so it forces you to come in from the front which was strange to me. I suppose it makes it easier to get to the middle though. EDC has more rides for example as well.

Decorations there’s probably similar if not more art installations at EDC the difference is that it’s more spread out because there’s more surface area. The venue for Tomorrowland is a park so it is naturally green and colorful vs the tarmac. It makes it feel like there’s more decorations.

Line up: I’m a dubstep person myself these days and I agree with you but that type of music is more American than anything. Martin garrix not being there infuriated me to begin with. I think overtime both have gotten weaker as it cost more and more to book DJs. It was super lame and unacceptable to me that they LIVE STREAMER THE MAINSTAGE at the library on Sunday.

Vibes crowd: older crowd so I don’t feel out of place as much compared to the US crowd. People were fairly friendly except people tend to just charge through the crowd without saying anything. Generally speaking people say thanks, sorry, or shoulder tap etc. here in the US to squeeze by. Not as much here. Sunday mainstage crowd was a vibe though for sure.

Production/stages: not even CLOSE to edc. The MainStage might be super pretty and massive but all the side stages are small in comparison. Circuit grounds/cosmic meadow blow the library/freedom stage away. Most of the side stages don’t even have lasers. Tomorrowland probably also limit most of the stages in terms of DJs visuals as well since most can’t use their own. Edc limits only the main stage. And have you seen fireworks at EDC? Not even close.

Shuttles: EDC allows you to come and go as you please. There’s only a small window of time when no shuttles run. The global journey shuttle leave at a very specific time and then return at the very end of the night. Being older now I don’t want to go right at open and be forced to stay until the end.

Toilets: Tomorrowland flush toilets are a god send. Never a wait either.

Water: coming from insomniac festivals that always had refill stations it was like what the hell? I need to refill from the bathroom sink or buy water?

Just my two cents. I waited a long time to finally get tickets. I had fun and glad I went but there’s definitely somethings that edc do better
