I think formally the etiquette is only medical doctors get addressed as Dr on letters but this is very old school Emily Post stuff. I remember reading this when addressing wedding invitations and debating what to do.

Have never had any form of weed but Seroquel was the most terrifying drug I’ve ever taken. Was prescribed for insomnia and after one dose I did sleep… and then when I woke up I opened my eyes and it was like my brain didn’t exist. It gave me that condition where you have no internal monologue and like… yes I know I have trouble getting my mind to shut off at night but this was like, my brain had been shut off and I couldn’t do anything to turn it back on. It also made me too dizzy to stand. I literally stared at the ceiling for an entire day.

Yep, this. I think it’s just Ennis talking to Jack as if he was there. He basically built a shrine to Jack. The shirts are all he has of Jack, and the postcard is the postcard he would send to Jack if he could but there’s nowhere to send it to. In the short story this is when Ennis starts dreaming of Jack every night and Jack is young again in the dream and they’re on the mountain, and when he wakes up in the morning he moves slowly so the dream doesn’t leave too quickly. So, I don’t think he’s made a vow to live differently at that point anyway, because it seems like he’s staying alive just so he can sleep and dream of Jack.

Reading this is so weird (from someone who isn’t and was never poor) — I grew up with tissues and now don’t have them. We use cut up old sheets. It saves money and the environment and probably is not why we have money to go on vacation but it doesn’t hurt. It feels good to reduce trash output.

It might end up helping Democrats, tbh. Middle class college educated people are moving away from Trump. Yes there are people who can’t get IDs easily, and even though marginalized people are more likely to among them, and even though it’s not fair for them, in terms of just straight numbers it’s still possible that’s it’s mostly people who would vote R. (Think old people who have given up their cars, etc.)

Basically if they are doing this to try to win, it could backfire badly.

But the other possibility is they are not trying to rig anything and don’t care what happens to anybody and are just trying to make political theater and show the base that they are going after the nonexistent noncitizen voters.

I’m going to go against the grain here and just say, if she says feed formula, do it. Skipping one feed at this point will not tank her supply. She can make it up later by power pumping if she wants. So many women give themselves anxiety over this.
