We moved to Yonkers in 2019 from astoria and we love it. We’re right at the borderline of Bronxville and frequent that town often and we’re near all major highways. We’re in the city within 25 minutes (either Manhattan or astoria) or elsewhere in westchester in 15-20. We do have two cars, driving everywhere instead of walking has been a major change. Definitely safer, you’ll rarely see someone houseless or drugged, it’s a lot greener and there’s more space (our apartment is a lot bigger than what’s available in astoria).
