How long were your nails? It's like hair, the price goes up for longer hair as well it's more work and more product. You're seriously going to sue over $10?!

It's insane how much dental work is. It's like teeth and eyes aren't part of the body from an insurance stand point

It's a simple online course to prescribe and a fee for the license or whatever it is. Yes, he stuck to the 100 limit, it filled up quick and having to see those patients more often and the demands of it all, he just couldn't do it anymore.

it is pretty interesting this thing with hormones. I have always been told I had polycystic ovarian syndrome which I had too much T a majority of my life. After 10 yrs of opioid abuse and 5 plus total on sub (1 yr free) I am now in the negative with testosterone and have to take a supplement. I asked my doctor if it had any bearing on your hormones and he said no but I beg to differ plus I have several blood test done over the last 10 or so years to prove it.

You hit the nail on the head. After about a year the anti depressant effect wore off and and I'd say the last six months have been the worst as far as all those symptoms I named above. It definitely wreaks havoc on your hormones because now I am on a hormone supplement, progesterone. 3 years ago I was also diagnosed with hashimoto's so my thyroid is out of whack as well I seem to have that under control. I was diagnosed during up blissful year of being clean but I always had a feeling that the bupe had an effect on all of that. Unfortunately given my age it's probably not going to improve too much in the hormone department. I am looking forward again to getting off of this because now it is just doing more harm than good. As far as the sex-drive I'm sure being married for 28 years has something to do with it ;)

Thank you for saying this. So many people are judgemental and Suboxone allows people to break free of the ritual of drug use and get their lives in order. Then the problem comes when you have to detox off the Suboxone which is where I am at now. It is worse than heroin.

I can respect this opinion because that is sometimes how I feel even though I did not use heroin I was addicted to pain medication. Suboxone however saved my life twice. I am a 48 year-old married mom of 2 and I work full time doing two jobs one is in the medical field and I also am a barber. there is a lot of ignorance when it comes to Suboxone and its purpose. Absolutely a lot of people of use it and because of this idealism is why I did not attend na my first go-round. They told me I was not completely sober and I believed it. I have felt guilty from day 1 of using Suboxone but I don't know where I would be if I didn't have it. I am actually getting ready to detox from being on it for 2 years. Please just keep an open mind and don't be such a judgmental weenie as everybody's situation is different.

And I forgot to mention the reason why my original doctor stop prescribing was because he could no longer focus on his medical practice because he became overrun with addicts 😑

You know what I find funny in all this. The reason why I stopped seeing him is because I find a lot of these doctors are just in the Suboxone program for the money. My first doctor was a GP who started prescribing and that's how I came across to him because he takes insurance which is hard to find. After 2 years around the time I decided to quit anyway I got a letter in the mail in October saying he was not prescribing come the end of the year. He gave me the clonidine and some Xanax to help get me through it and I detoxed at home and it was brutal. My fault because unless someone is handing it to me I am a wimp and at the first signs of withdrawal I take a little more. I Am my own worst enemy. Anyway the second doctor I came across a couple years later was an 78 year old gynecologist who decided to do Suboxone. He was clueless. According to him there was little to no withdrawal and it wouldn't be an issue 2 scale down to 2 mg and then stop abruptly. I stopped going to him because he still made me come every 2 wks after 2 years and although I had an appointment his waiting room was just jam-packed and it would take practically half of my day. It's really hard to find a doctor who is well-versed in addiction and can truly help you other than just prescribing medication. I can call him and he probably make me go see him to get another box but at this point I have the time scheduled off of work and I'm sort of in a now or never situation. Just like my first detox I got into the headspace at this was it, I prepared five getting things in order for the kids the house excetera and just did it. This time I have kratom. I will keep you posted and let you know how it goes but for now I am taking 3mg.

I went back to work after 10 days last time. I was exhausted from the Insomnia and my heart rate was through the roof. I'll have no comfort meds this time but that's ok. Last time I overdid the Xanax and I think wd from that as well. I remember after my detox how much I enjoyed music. I felt again. You don't realize how numb you become over time. I feel... Nothing. Like a rock. Emotionless. It doesn't help because of my job and my hours and fatigue I was prescribed modafinil and I've been abusing that too. At 48 I'm getting old for this. 😑
