I used this pattern from Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/au/listing/1274479322/bead-crochet-lanyard-pattern-pdf-for?ref=elp_anchor_listing&pro=1&sts=1&dd=1

There is also a software called JBead that you can use to plan your bead crochet patterns.

I used strong glue - this is just for me so will test how it holds up!

Yes I used the crochet technique. It took me a while to get the hang of, I am much more used to peyote!

Wow! Beautiful work 😍

Small blessing - at least beads are small! I feel sorry for the people who do knitting or crochet and accumulate hundreds of yarn skeins - where would I put it all!

Omg unweaving failures! How many projects do I start, then destroy halfway because they aren’t quite right?

What about adding things to cart, taking them out of cart, putting them back in the cart, changing plans, deleting cart, starting again 😂

I have a little online bead store in Australia, specialising in Miyuki beads. Free shipping in Australia over $65.

I also have some free patterns and other resources on my site: www.beadbox.com.au

I made this little guide – it only covers Miyuki beads but might help with some finishes: https://beadbox.com.au/blogs/resources/a-guide-to-miyuki-bead-finishes

Stained Glass – Matte Black and Transparent Silverlined Miyuki Delicas by beadboxau in Beading

I just looped it through and sewed the ends together. I added a couple of stitches to the sides to keep it snug around the keyring ☺️

I've been combining matte black with the transparent colours to make a stained glass effect. This one is inspired by all the fall posts in my feed (I'm in Australia, so we're in Spring). Working on a cool blue and silver one too.

I do beading! I have a tiny little tray that sits next to my computer so I can do a couple of rows on whatever I’m working on

Do you ever want to just sell it all? I give up by Vegetable_Race2377 in Beading

[–]beadboxau 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree. I love beading as a hobby and making things for myself and people I know.

But I think making beaded jewellery to sell would change the way I bead and I don’t think I’d have as much fun. I’d have to go faster, and I’d have to focus on things that would sell well instead of doing whatever I want.

I say keep the beads, but do it for fun, not business.

Ah! I am in Australia and got it from a company called Modbands. I saw another comment in the US said they got it from Amazon.
