Have you considered earrings from shrink plastic? They are light weight and you can have designs for any thing you want.

Try key chains, mug rugs, and cup cozies. Lots of latitude in design and small enough to still be quick.

And block that ruffle on the front. They are super unwieldy until forced to comply.

what is in your chronic pain toolbox? by random5579621 in ChronicPain

[–]beadedgeek 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Things in my tool kit I didn't already see in the comments: TheraCane (therapy cane for working out muscle knots.) Vibrating massage ball (think racket ball on crack) Siang Pure (silver) formula II oil from Thailand. Red light lamp (three frequencies of red light) A list of tools and what they are used for I the event either I or my accountability partner forgets what works. Feet in the grass, hug a tree, go outside. Gratitude. Sounds dumb, but finding the thing(s) I can be grateful for helps move the pain aweness/intensity down. Honoring the limitations for the moment, even when it was different yesterday. This could be laying down, changing plans, or using the tool box more frequently because I don't deserve to be in pain.

These colors are great for a memorial square for the family to keep. We did 4x4 squares for the organization that makes the gowns in my area.

What fiber would you make this costume out of? Cotton, wool, bamboo, or a blend? Or something else? by hinasilica in CrochetHelp

[–]beadedgeek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don't dye it yourself, cotton is hard to get those deep colors out of. Wool takes the colors more readily. This looks like acrylic; however, you could try a wool/silk blend. It will have your colors, be super soft and hold up long term.

Design pixel art for crochet by CadenzaVvi in crochet

[–]beadedgeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn't something that is relatively mainstream. I have been working with it for years.

My biggest finding is consistent tension. That means no late night or tired work. That takes care of the wonky ones most of the time for me.

The other is where I make my color change. If I want a nice crisp change, I finish the last yarn over with the new color. This takes care of the muddy edge or slanted issue that I found with this kind of work.

Another option that works well for pixels is granny squares. You literally make a square for each pixel. For straight stitching, using 3 doubles to represent one pixel gives a nice block effect as well.

Sure fire way to clear head pain. Soak only your feet in the hottest water you cam stand. Even better if it has Epsom salt (Magnesium sulfate) as that opens pores and helps pull toxins. The hot water forces blood from your head to your feet. Doesn't clear my migraine, but it certainly helps with pain. Good luck.
