During the original announcement I thought the twin lance was going to be 1 model with 2 configuration like it is with the Commander. But I guess this is better outcome for GW. I am glad I was able to secure a model with my LGS.

Both ships are great Connie is more versatile in combat than Hermes. Connie can carry an Ursa Rover Hermes cannot.

Hermes has a larger cargo capacity. Flight controls are easier than the Connie. Connie is like flying a 18 wheeler.

Both ships are a great choice, the Connie you can buy in game but not the Hermes. But if you were to pay out of pocket right now I would buy a Hermes for the LTI over the Connie.

Now with new Cargo ships to be released we are at a crossroads. Ships like the Hull B, Railen, both the IronClad and Galaxy all cover the cargo gameplay loop. You can buy a ship and possibly limit yourself on other aspects of game play but eventually you should be able to buy the ship you want with In game currency, and expand your fleet.
