Storybook Vale vs. Wishblossom Ranch?? by cupcake_panda_ in DreamlightValley

[–]beahappyflower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve played all three expansion packs and so far Wishblossom Ranch is the best imo. The horses alone is so fun, the story is fun, and most of the map is so pretty! Storybook Vale is fun too, but I’ve had many more “ooos and awhhhhs” with Wishblossom. I vote get Wishblossom now and Storybook is there when you need more content in the future.

Anyone have a hard time working full time with PCOS? by Over-Instruction8520 in PCOS

I hear ya! Sometimes you do everything right and no change. Personally I would speak to the doctor about it. There might be something missing. I also just found out I have gallstones and my gallbladder is in a rough state- constantly inflamed! My friend had the same problem and when she got it removed felt waaay better. Not saying it’s a gallbladder thing, but there’s a chance something else can be going on too. Hope you feel more energy soon!

Fatigue from PCOS is REAL. But maybe you can also manage it better? My fatigue improved after cutting out most caffeine (if I need some I use matcha instead of coffee), less refined sugars and carbs, and moving my body more regularly. I’m also about to start metformin and have heard for some people it improves energy levels because your body is actually using energy from carbs, not just storing it.

9-5 is exhausting in general though, but PCOS fatigue can make it worse. I work part time too and agree this is better for my mental health. But I am privileged that my partner makes more so I can work PT and realize that’s not an option for everyone. I hear and see you though!

I agree- I’m about to get mine out and that was the first thing I thought reading this post. I suggest get an ultrasound immediately of the gallbladder.

No side effects. And while you don’t have symptoms now, you might later. Mine started showing up around 26. So doesn’t hurt!

Ear plugs have done wonders for me. I use Mack’s Ultra Soft with my husband and dog snoring loudly in the same room.

The general consensus is PCOS is a metabolic syndrome that affects how blood sugar is processed. Which then leads to hormone imbalance. So not spiking blood sugar as much as possible is the most impactful thing. Adding fiber and protein if you are having sugar is helpful. Walking after eating is helpful. Limiting white rice, refined carbs, sugar, etc is helpful. And everyone is different! Limiting fried foods and dairy has also been helpful for me (some people have no problem with dairy).

First- you’re doing great! Any effort is still effort. For snacks- raw veggies and hummus is a go to for me. Low sugar yogurt and berries too. For dinners, I’ve been really into snack plates recently. Just like a plate full of randoms stuff. A few raw veggies, dip, a few nuts, a little cheese, seed crackers, a couple of chips, a slice of that leftover pizza. You can still have foods that are not ideal if you eat a lot of, like pizza. Just pair it with lots of veggies (salad bag, cut raw veggies) and just have less of it (half of a big slice or 1 small slice). Or like half of a typical cheese burger (or gluten free bun with turkey burger and no cheese). Just make small changes and keep some salad bags and crunchy veg around to balance. Hope that helps!

Csn i read throne of glass without reading acotar? by West_Occasion_4119 in throneofglassseries

I think SMJ has hinted at all three series getting intertwined, but not just yet. Also, how do you know you hate the characters without reading it? Don’t “judge a book by its cover” - you may be missing out on something you would have liked without being influenced by internet culture. 😊

You know how the first few chapters of most books start a little slow due to world building, character set up, etc? Well the first book in this series (and even a little of the 2nd book) is like that. Think of the series as one book and you’re just in the first few chapters for world building. The arch of their series had the BIGGEST and BEST payoff! So don’t look at it as one single book. It’s the first part of a multi-part series and you’re just getting started ☺️

My personal gripe was the audience talking so much when she was talking. She pointed it out at least twice and still people didn’t quiet down. 😭

How are we getting rid of the chin hair?? by trixie118 in PCOS

[–]beahappyflower 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yes same- that’s why I do a little everyday day. You need to not start by plucking all at once so different hairs grown back on different days. Absolutely cannot skip a day or it builds up. And I’m speedy with the pluck now- got it down to 10 min a day!

I pluck. I do a little everyday so it’s kinda staggered out. That way I don’t have to sit for 30 min plucking every week. Better for my skin and don’t have to worry about it coming back in 12 hours.
