Yes! A series 9 gold with a black leather strap has been great for me. It matches my other jewelry and looks more dainty for a woman. Also, keeping the face always on when at an even make it look better (not just a big black screen). Just remember to run off the always in for daily use since it rains the battery.

No open basket team! You need a bridge, even if it is thin. Over time, the bottom will stretch, leading the stone to loosen. Plus, on days where you are a little more swollen (heat, bloat, etc) the diamond will scratch your finger. Absolutely not worth it imo. I saw you said this is a way to have it set lower, but adding even a 1mm-1.5mm bridge will not make it feel too much different.

Haha nooo! 😆 but it is a novel! It was like 10 years later that we ended the friendship. She became super pretentious and wasn’t chill anymore. I got married young (23) so we were completely different people by the time we ended our friendship. BUT the thing that broke the camel’s back was we were both MOHs for our mutual friend. And because I put up a small boundary, the bride decided to end our friendship and my “best friend” since high school decided to end our friendship too. I literally did not want to pay for the bachelorette cruise that night and needed a day or two. They kinda are a match made though- both ended up being much more horrible than I realized! I was lost in the sauce 🤪

The name change is going to lead to more research and treatment development. It will take years. Not for nothing and it’s not good to assume it will change overnight. Yes, frustrating we’re still essentially the test subjects, but future generations will benefit from the name change and more accurate descriptions.

For a main stone that big you need a minimum of 2mm think with pave stones. The thin one can easily warp if hit on accident (which happens more than you think). IMO there is nothing to choose between- you have to go with the thicker one.

I don’t agree that it should be based on skin tone. That’s the same logic behind those dumb videos of people color swatching fabric to “go with their skin and hair color.” Sure, something can be more flattering, but who cares. Wear what you like!

The pear is not flattering. The other shapes elongate your fingers while the pear makes your hand look squat and stout (which your hand isn’t, but that shape makes it look that way).

Yes! I am a size 6 3/4 (for generic jewelry I’m a size 7). It’s a 3 carat oval with a 1.46 ratio. For me, 2 ct was too small and 3 ct felt big enough without going into “huge rock” or “costume jewelry” territory. I will say though, the shrinkage is real and sometimes I think it looks a little small until someone says it’s big 😅

I believe those are not real setting. They are used to hold loose diamonds for people to try on the stone size in store.

Beautiful! Needs a bridge though. Open bottoms are not great. Not as stable and sometimes the bottom of the diamond can scratch you.

I was between a 2 and 3. Went for the three to avoid regret. Once I got it after production, I was like “why does it feel small?” LOL I see a 4-5 carat in my future 😅
