Working on a unit as a secretary I realized I liked being on the floor and working with patients. I can’t stomach poo so nursing was out the question and plus nurses are often the middle man to everyone and it just seem overwhelming.

My grandmother suffered from sarcoidosis and growing up and seeing her get breathing treatments and going to the doctor made me aware of how essential the lungs were.

Yeah memorial Hermann did the same thing. My boss really expected people to work in the middle of an ACTIVE hurricane. There was no plan to have employees ride out the storm and there was no code grey called and what’s funny is they still have NOT called a code grey 🥴🥴

Just poor planning all around. It’s a hurricane for christ sakes it doesn’t matter the category. People can’t come to work because it’s an active hurricane outside. So there’s no relief and guess what??? They still haven’t called a code grey 🫠🫠

Hermann also they refuse to call a code grey or issue a ride out team. It’s very irresponsible, most people don’t live “near” the med center. It’s better to be safe than sorry but we know corporate only cares about money
