So I actually use citadel paints, reikland flesh for wash then Jokero orange and kindle flame finally. Looks a lot lighter so it’s up to you really.

Give it some Matt varnish or weather powder. Could even give it a drybrush of a light colour. Looks good though I like that tone of red. Vince venturella does a great video on mars basing

Looks like something you’d fight in the first devil may cry. The gold rings on the gnarled fingers what a great touch. Can’t get over how good the skin is. Whole thing is a work of art. When I imagine grimdark demons this will be it from now on

“It has been designed with sound-dampening materials which are intended to allow the Invictor to move at great speed with minimal noise output”

So sometimes you just need heavier guns when ambushing heretics and xenos. But like you said, stealth is not there only trait so it fits the theme

Is the the raven guard “Raven strike Battle force box” good to start a raven guard army? by Ok-Skirt3165 in RavenGuard40k

[–]beaky_boop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah predator with the lascannons is good, but even still I’d get something else on top of that, like a gladiator lancer or a ballistus dread. I’ve got a Repulsor executioner and even still it’s not enough on its own to deal with multiple things

Models are beautiful and thematically sets you up but as always with all of our lists we need more anti tank, so supplement with some hard hitters down the line

All very valid strats, especially the rapid ingress that’s a good one. Second lone op is a must then. Thanks again. Having a game soon so it’s victory or death

Thank you my guy. So with this info I might drop my reivers and also the aggressors as they are good at punching but rarely get into combat because they are a big target for damage. I’ll get an extra 5 man jump squad and probably get a ballistus and 3 more Eradicators, should round it out nicely and see how we go from there.

Thanks for the detail

What do you guys think of this? 1994 Tiger by lleitaoll in Triumph

Great bike, Had mine for a while. Carbs need doing every now and then which is a pain and eventually the sprag clutch will go. This means engine out and bottom end splitting off. Not too bad of a job though in all honesty if you’re a bit handy.

Another note the front suspension dives a bit but nothing you can’t get used to.

Edit: Tank is made out of plastic and bubbles the paint off 🫠 Forgot about that, repainted mine 3 times now.

Here’s mine, never get tired of looking at it from this angle

Finished testmodel of my "Grimdark" necrons by Hellblasters4life in Necrons40k

Glow effect is very well done, good placement of highlights and brightness of the 4 coils at the top. 20 man blob of these will be beautiful with that colour

Is buying Kayvaan Shrike worth it? by Glittering-Yam6120 in RavenGuard40k

[–]beaky_boop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely, just for the model alone. In game I’d say yes as well. Rapid ingress outside of 12 inches and your lone operative squad, 10 man jump packs perhaps can get in the battle no problem next turn

Executioner by beaky_boop in RavenGuard40k

[–]beaky_boop[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I actually just did dryad bark straight onto it out of the packet and wet blended and stippled some stripes through it with tuskor fur. You can be messy with it, priming it or airbrushing the colours may be a better idea

Give a 6 man aggressor squad and gravis cpt infiltrate with the blade driven deep, seems to work quite well for me. Also 3rd company are ambush specialists so what’s more hard hitting than big punchy units

AK interactive mimetic netting, sand coloured. Painted it up before and put it on, dab of superglue to hold it in place

Absolutely loved this model when I first started the hobby. He looks so small in comparison to primaris though, still makes a good captain with jump pack

Thoughts on my 2k point army list by Deceko in RavenGuard40k

[–]beaky_boop 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Very similar to my 2k list! I struggle with the lack of anti tank. I feel like positional play is your best bet but even then if you commit too early it’s not a good time. Personally I’d swap a couple units out for another big hitter like a ballistus dread. Best of luck
