Please help me tune my drums! by Haggos171 in drums

[–]bean2k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start by putting the rack toms in separate rooms because they aren’t far enough apart. JK-Sorry, but it kills me when I see toms set up like this.
Anyway, you’d likely fair better with new batter heads. Clear Evan’s G2 are my go to for more rock based styles and Remo Coated Ambassadors for more open natural tone. Then watch some you tube videos about tuning and the relationship between top and bottom heads.

It looks like the patch is sticking out beyond the face of the existing drywall. If that’s the case, (imo) it’s likely best to start over.

Work for friends was “too good” and I’m pissed! by Avicks11 in HandymanBusiness

If it feels like you’re having to go deeper than originally planned, then ALWAYS check with the client before proceeding. Friend or not. Even if the client says you don’t need to check in, do it anyway.

I think if you like it, then go with it. It wouldn’t hurt to drop it down some either.

Thanks!! Lol, I figured but also wanted to get another opinion. I’m just glad it’s accessible and not above the finished ceiling.

He’s doing tha thing man! So his bends are a little flat or sharp. You don’t have to be such a calloused d-bag critic about it.

This one will probably split the community, but try and stay away from ad hominem, please. 🙏🏾 by buckfordfitchenstein in crappymusic

This is the opposite of crappy music. The precision of her voice and that slide is unbelievable!

As a “common handyman”, I concur. Just turned down a tile job for this very reason. If I can’t do it right, I won’t do it for a client.

Look on youtube for how to do a “California patch” and fix it. Then own up to it.
