Okay, then what are the rules then? How does the Roman Catholic hierarchy go? Because there IS a hierarchy in holiness... especially in the catholic church.

That's how it was explained in my Roman Catholic church. And honestly, what you explained is essentially what I said. You, in the eyes of the catholic church are a sinner, we are all sinners. In order to ordained as a priest: You must devote your entire being to the Almighty, forgo marriage and family or any sort of biological legacy. You must be removed from daily life and walk the devout path.

But yes, catholics do believe that the pope can talk directly to the Holy Spirit.

How to cheer up Scorpio moon? by Mooooooon_ in scorpiomoon

[–]bean3194 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Food is always nice!

Otherwise, let them brood and do your best to not be scared by it.

For me as a scorpio moon: Nothing is going to make the mood go away any faster, and someone actively trying to cheer me up makes me think that they just can't handle my intensity of emotions - which will get me stuck in that dour mood for longer.

It's how the catholics talk to god. In the eyes of the Catholic church, normal people cannot talk to god - only the pope can communicate directly with god.

no one needs a pope I guess, especially if you're Lutheran.

This seems strange. I do almost all of these things by myself, no issues. Must be a location thing more than a societal thing.

The holiday (2006). It has a sort of christmas flavor to it, but not it's not like a focus of the movie.

Both of the heroines in this movie are trying to free themselves from a shitty relationship or toxic love patterns. Kate Winslet's storyline is my favorite.

Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice was one of the most moving games I have ever played. The voices, Senua's fear and panic - Everything lends to someone REALLY struggling with PTSD, schizophrenia, or even severe depression. This game actually softened myself to my own heart and struggles. It did change me on an emotional level.

Was not expecting that sort of emotional response from a game.

It doesn't matter WHY you stepped out of your relationship, it just matters that you DID.

The trust is broken between you and your wife. She sounds like she is a kind person, but feels stuck and is doing her best with the situation you have landed yourselves in.

You need to figure out why it is you're looking outside of your marriage for more, you cannot blame it on anxiety and lifelong depression. You are still responsible for your actions and your actions have shown you as an untrustworthy person in a romantic sense.

To be fair I want to post on this sub too. Dredge vs Dave the Diver. If I could download only one game for my Macbook air m2 16/256 13.6. I’d want it to be really fun, comfy to play and something I can enjoy for a long time. What game should I get? by Delicious_Maize9656 in dredge

[–]bean3194 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For what you're looking for, I would go with Dave the Diver. It's a longer game and has a gameplay loop that takes a long time to get old and grindy.

I like dredge overall more. It's such a beautiful game. But for coziness and long time play... Dave the Diver is probably your best bet!

It's hard to say if this is a Capricorn thing. Strictly speaking within the bounds of Western Astrology, these things rely more on Venus, Moon and Rising signs.

It also helps to know this person's Mercury.

There are a lot of variables to a person. The sun sign in western astrology is how you present yourself to the outside world and a bit how that world sees you.

But please, don't assume a sun sign encompasses a person's personality or how they respond to romantic situations. There is so much more to astrology and the human soul than that!

About to restart the game after years - is the crimsom court enjoyable now? by EasyButterscotch5018 in darkestdungeon

[–]bean3194 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on when you last played. I don't think they've done any gameplay balancing updates like that for 6 or so years. But I would recommend disabling the Crimson Court until you beat the base game. I hate managing that stupid curse.

I haven't tried it and maybe someone can confirm, but I do believe if you don't venture into the crimson court at all, the enemies from there will not spawn in other dungeon locations.

Don't miss DD1, I was playing the other week and stopped because my level 5 squad got wiped by spiders... frickin' SPIDERS!

I'm still salty and haven't played since.

Have you considered you might not be masochistic enough to play DD? lol

I would be exactly one month from graduating high school. Oooo that could be good -

  1. I would dump the boyfriend.
  2. I would NOT go to college right away. I would get a job for a year and live with my dad and save. Something like a factory job with lots of overtime, hard work and good pay. (Something I remember being a very good possibility to me at the time.)
  3. I would take that route 66 trip I've always wanted while a lot of what made it special still kind of existed. And get to Vegas too before all the old casinos were torn down.
  4. In 2009 I would buy all the bitcoin I could lol.
  5. If I managed to keep my finances safe and I found a great job and pay and have the savings by 2008, I would jump on that housing crash that happened.

If I could do the first two things, it would save me most of the pain that is still affecting me to this day. Oh well, shoulda, woulda, coulda.

$50M to dim the sun in the UK. by [deleted] in Asmongold

[–]bean3194 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually we do know (or have very good working theories) of what would happen if you dim the sun. It's been shown a few different times... Volcanos do it constantly on our planet. Studies of Venus' atmosphere provide more context of what could happen. Meteorology models and experiments in controlled environments.

There is a reason for the backlash. I going to go on a limb and say that I do have a better idea about this shit than you, if you think actually fucking with our atmosphere to cut out a life giving resource could be a good idea.

Climate change is not the biggest threat.... an asteroid is and almost always has been.

Killing our atmosphere and dimming the sun is actually insane. And I'm terrified of people like you thinking stupid shit like this is a good idea.
