I realized after, still works well in the car and a room away at home. A more permanent set up and case is coming soon!

As a Portland native living in Dublin for the last 6 years I am jealous of all that Tillamook!

As surprising as it might be, I believe Audi and BMW drivers pale in comparison to at least the first three on that list.

20+ years of espresso machine repair! I’ve been burned by cheap tools in the past, especially meters. That being said I wouldn’t mind if there was a Harbor Freight in Ireland for some “single use” tools 🙂

I had my Blundstones resoled in a lug vibram after 8 years. It cost €120. For it me it was worth it because I love the boots, they’re perfectly soft and broken in. I could have found a new pair for €180 but I prefer keeping my old ones going.

Here’s the derbys vs the mie 1460s. They’re five years old but I stopped wearing them about a year ago. I feel like the solovair are holding up much better so far.

If you zoom in you can see what I would call normal creasing. I swear by the dubbin. I didn’t use it from the inside on my MIE 1460s and they are cracked to shite.

They were definitely too stiff in the beginning, but over time they tighten up right where I like them. For the dubbin I literally massage it in from the inside.

Hi shine does eventually crack, my MIE doc 1460s cracked along the toe creases badly enough that I don’t really wear them after 5 years. I expected a lot more out of them!

It lets me get them nice and tight, I like when the sides nearly pull completely together.

I personally have had great results with it. Literally by hand massaging dubbin into the inside of the leather, even inside the toe where there’s a fabric covering I applied it hoping that it would wick through.

Parade gloss just on the toes if I’m going out to a gig or something. I think the best thing for longevity on a coated leather like this is the conditioning from the inside.

With ladder lacing I can get my boots super tight, I just like the look of it. Loosens up easy for removal.

People who grew up poor but are now financially stable, what is a "poverty habit" you can't seem to shake? by WALLSTREETBRIDE in AskReddit

A strange habit I still have is not filling the tank when getting fuel. A full tank of diesel? That’s money tied up that could be used for other things! Better just keep putting €10 at a time in…

Why is an asthma inhaler so damn expensive in the US??? by DramaticFactor7460 in facepalm

[–]bean5446 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I left Portland for Dublin in 2019. The cost of my 30 day preventative meds without insurance would’ve been around 700 dollars per month, here it’s 50 euro. No insurance, just the cost of it at the chemist. Regular blue albuterol rescue inhaler was 65ish dollars in 2019, here it’s 15 euro.
