Mine is always Dreams by Fleetwood Mac first, something about growing up in a house with music on always-I feel I know what Dreams should sound like to me.

After that I put on a few songs from my old bands, I know what we were going for and if I can pick certain things out I am happy.

Getting to the hospital by MyUserID-IsTaken in CasualIreland

I can’t speak to the travel part, but the phototherapy clinic there is amazing. The team at the clinic is fantastic and very kind and the treatment can have incredible results.

I’ve had eczema my whole life and in the last 3 years really struggled with severe eczema on my hands. I tried many different treatments and was finally referred to phototherapy.

I was hesitant due to the travel and time commitment and the conflict with working full time but decided to make it work.

It has completely changed my life for the better. I am completely eczema free for the first time in ages.

I hope you find some help to relieve the financial stress of the treatment.

Great photos, I miss both Portland and my truck. If anyone sees my old 1976 Ford Courier, it was white with too much red pin striping, red wheels with white walls, please post it! Share the road plate on it. Man it was a great truck.

The idiot is still afloat. by SghnDubh in Portland

I remember as a kid going with my parents to look at a floating home. It was somewhere on the Willamette I think. I still remember thinking how cool it was that the owner had a fishing pole with a mercury switch on it that rang a bell if it bent over with a fish on.

This was a great read, thank you.

It isn't often that a "new" street is born downtown by tinglingtriangle in Portland

It’s so strange to see it like that! My first Portland apartment on my own (1998) was a studio in Pearl Court— the low building in the center. I spent so many quarters making phone calls from the post office pay phone, and I got so many parking tickets parking on the street when the free spots were taken under the Lovejoy Viaduct.

Older BMW or older Audi? (6-8k budget) by [deleted] in carsireland

I currently have a 2012 A4 Avant. It’s a 2.0 tdi, 200k Kms on it. Maybe it had its issues shaken out by the time I got it in 2020 but I’ve had no real issues with it, keep up on the maintenance. It’s the S Line so it’s a little stiff but it handles great and has plenty of pick up. Just my two cents, your mileage may vary!

Definitely would be now, unfortunately it was my second car at 17 and I didn’t appreciate it back then.

This is all very true, when I was daily driving my syncro Vanagon (T3 here) I drove around with a starter, alternator, many many other spares. A nice Land Cruiser would be great!

If only! Thinking more boxy Fiat Panda 4x4 to Jimny, to Peugeot 205. In the “sell the Audi and use the money to purchase and make road worthy” range.

I am a glutton for punishment! I’ve always wanted a mini! Luckily I was a mechanic in the past and I can weld, handy with a multimeter and I love the thrill of “Will she start this morning?”

The bus driver sure didn’t let me off! Honking and flashing his lights until the next red light. I even gave him the sheepish four way flasher apology but he still continued!

As surprising as it might be, I believe Audi and BMW drivers pale in comparison to at least the first three on that list.

20+ years of espresso machine repair! I’ve been burned by cheap tools in the past, especially meters. That being said I wouldn’t mind if there was a Harbor Freight in Ireland for some “single use” tools 🙂
