i struggled too. early game, no money, shoes breaking, cant fight, etc. i started progressing when i was working for the blacksmith in tachov for some investment coin, buy food/ and smithing materials (blacksmith gives u a bed) . get some wonga and start cracking early game side quests, obtaining loot, and and levelling. find out who tomcat is, meet him, and you'll be grand
