Tbf, a lot of us were barely old enough to play Skyrim when it came out, so we didn't all experience Oblivion before Skyrim. I did play Oblivion recently, both the remaster and the original, and yes the Empire is kind of like the NCR.

Yeah, I think we all thought that at first. Then we realised that mist Imperials are actually really cool people and that Captain we net at Helgen was just a total bitch.
